That's awesome! We hiked from Mestia to Ushguli between 15th-18th of Oct 2018. We obviously had perfect weather but from what I've read October can be prone to heavy snow fall so I'd try to trek in early Oct if possible. Glad I could inspire you, have an amazing trek!!!

@@IntrepidRoad Always, keep up the great work! I'm curious on the towns in between hiking where you found for bnb's, did you identify the town before hand and book a room when you got there or was it mostly on the fly where you just check the room and book if you find it proper?
@IntrepidRoad3 жыл бұрын
@@InvestGlobal We booked on the fly in all instances and were approached by locals most of the time. All of the towns seemed quite similar, however, we did shop around in Mestia and Ushguli as there was a high degree of variance between the quality of accommodation there. Mestia is remarkable, highly recommend shopping around and finding a nice place to base yourself out of for a few days

hey! I live in LA, and I really want to get out there and go somewhere just... completely opposite from LA (beautiful, desolate, rural, culture shock, etc) I want to do it alone, and I'm 17. Georgia looks beautiful, but I'm worried about organizing all the buses and stuff. I also don't want to miss out and just stay in my airbnb the whole time bc I don't know where to go. Do you have any tips/advice? Doesn't have to be Georgia
@IntrepidRoad3 жыл бұрын
I'd wait until you're at least 18. South East Asia & Western Europe are good places to start as they're quite safe generally speaking. After that you could try something more adventurous like Nepal. Good luck with it!
