Tremec TKX 5 speed vs the A-833 4 speed side by side comparison. Will we get one for the Super Bee?

What a timely video for me! The 4-speed in my '70 Bee is shot and I've been debating rebuilding it or buying a Tremec 5-speed. I can't wait to see the next video. Great job Family!

Nice com-paro! I had an 82 swb d150 in highschool and one too many clutch dumps(stupid kid) and i twisted the imput shaft clean off my 883 AND broke the bell housing bolts....AND destroyed my gas tank lol....AND AND, slung the trans totally out of the truck 😂. Its never a good feeling when your shifter hits you in the leg and proceedes to disappear from the floor. I was 14 and wasnt supposed to be driving it while my parents weren't home 👌. Man if i could go back and keep that truck....

Years ago I did a swap and the back of the 400 crank was not drilled for a pilot bearing. I drilled it a little and turned down the thrust bearing. sloppy work for sure but it did not vibrate.

When are you all going to upload the video of the inexpensive disc brake conversion on the BEE. I’ve got a 70 Road Runner and have been procrastinating for 3 years .

The input shaft bearing is not worn out unless you heard it making noise when you let the clutch out in neutral. There is supposed to be to be some slop in that bearing. The pilot bushing/bearing supports the other end of the input shaft.

Do you think that you would need to cut your trans tunnel,shifter hole or torsion bar brace to install that TKX 5 speed into your Super Bee?

I am not sure but here shortly I am going to mark it up in the place and I will be sure to let everybody know. We are not putting the strands in the super B we are putting it in the Z 28 but since I had one laying there I figured I would compare it

@@FamilysGarage Yeah I knew you were installing it into the Z28 but I was more interested that if you thought it would fit your SuperBee without cutting. I have a original1970 Charger RT 440 4spd so that is why. I would definitely be interested if you do a trial fit into your Super Bee I would definitely watch that!
