Protestantism and Islam are both Gnostic religions. Two traits they share are their rejection of rationality at their highest levels of experience, and each requires a verbal ascent to the ideology: Islam has its "shahada" while Protestantism has the "sinner's prayer". If you don't understand what make Protestantism Gnostic, 'Sola Fide' is Gnosticism because there is no action to take in the physical world relevant to salvation. In Protestant theology you are saved merely by mental assent, but not by any material action. Protestants reject all the material channels by which Christ confers his graces: Priests, sacraments, holy water, incense, etc. Everything in Protestantism takes place internally within the personal experience of the believer. That's Gnosticism. Each Protestant claims to be a pope, bishop, priest, and authority unto himself via personal inspiration from the Holy Spirit. That's irrational, and again, Gnostic. It's irrational because every Protestant uses that claim against every other Protestant, and of course they cannot all be the highest authority, and it's Gnostic because each individual claims special divine revelation above the next person.

I love his conviction, but I truly don't believe this man understands Gnosticism. God bless him none the less, but if anyone listens to him and then looks into Gnosticism by themselves, they will think he has been misleading people with his teachings. Modern Gnostics use the maxim, as above so below, as within so without. Soul is eternal, all else is temporal, Christ spent 33 years in the flesh and the rest of creation as non-corporeal Soul, the flesh is extremely unimportant, your inner state is above all else what needs to be safely developed and guarded. Not very different from the Orthodox Hesychast tradition in practice, if Hesychast mysticism were made for laypersons. 'Living in a physical world forever' as Tom said, is an insane, unworkable understanding of salvation - The heavens are there, now, they can be seen and traveled to by developing the spirit, there is no eternal physical embodiment, never has been and never will be. So much of the Biblical prophets have guided Christian doctrine through a moment of piercing the veil into the heavens for a moment, or a vision, yet those who develop this as an ability are somehow lesser in their understanding than those that only got a peak? Mainstream Christians cling to ignorance like its their income source - crazy business.

@@LaurXL Some how they read the OT and love all the raping, killing, death, destruction, and cursing that YHWH did, and disregard everything that Jesus said and did, essentially th wet don’t realize it but they are calling Jesus a liar because he would have to be a liar in order for Yahweh to be The Father, due to the simple fact. Jesus doesn’t change, the Father doesn’t change. Jesus is not duality and Yahweh is. He even rebukes the spirit of Yahweh to his apostles, why would he rebuke the spirit of the Father? The church always explains it in some ass backwards circular reasoning that defies truth, but simply go back to what Jesus said and did and use that as the baseline and all the false lies and misinformation in that book fall away. You are 100% correct that they have no clue about Gnosticism and it seems they even view it as evil, funny because the “god” they worship is on record in their own books committing these evils.

@@michaelparker5874 Its a terrible shame the corruption of Christs teachings, even immediately after his physical death. If one truly tries to reconcile the words of Jesus, with the old testament, then they would liquidate their brain, trying to reconcile the contradictions. Its is evident that The Father of Jesus is a much higher, much truer God than the Yahweh of the old testament. A burning bush tells a wayward man that it speaks for the I AM and then leads his people through 40 years in the dessert to cover what would have taken a month...Even by their own story, Yahweh is a right cunt, if Christians could stop running apologetics for Yahweh and realize that God which is Love, which is the Light of the Father and of Jesus, those 2 billion souls would be set ablaze with truth, instead of the muddy ignorance of this faux Christianity.
