When they spoke about “yes” and “no” for people they’re not lying, Channing Crowder took me shopping as a kid to GAP and although I didn’t turn out pro or a big time ball player…. I NEVER forgot that moment! Made something of myself and take care of my family as a man should!

Trent, I live 45 minutes from P-Cola. I am a single father. I graduated 2006 from the area and have been an Alabama fan my entire life. I never kept up with how things went for you. I’m so thankful I watched this interview. You talked about parents being in situations where they want to be with their kids and can’t. You’re the first I’ve heard say it. I’ve said it, but never seen it or heard it by anyone else. I sat in the shower and cried. I hope my children have the kind heartedness and understanding that you showed your father. I’m sure you’ll never see this, but you earned so much respect from me. Stay you.

Saying “No”.. learning that simple thing really changed my life big time, people disappeared that needed to and new people/energy showed up I continue to grow with. Letting go of the weight of all those wasted years and wasted “yes” was hard, but hitting that happiness threshold is such a great feeling. YOUR HAPPINESS NOT EVERYONE ELSE AROUND YOU.

I truly love this whole conversation yall had together. Trent no matter what deep down in my heart you will, and never will be considered a bust in my eyes. The 2 things that’s always got me is yes it so true how we as fans don’t know the deep down mental health of a player goes through out the sport. I think the NFL and college needs to do a lot more to help with these challenges during and post careers. The other thing that kills me is I believe college and NFL players need to have as many opportunities to learn more about the wealth issues their about to step foot in to with agents, accountants, and definitely prenups. Because I’ve heard to many devastating stories from these issues.

I’ve watched and learned and loved this podcast from the start. Like many I was deeply moved by the Michael Beasley show where he felt safe enough to speak to his anguish and fatigue. Since then The Pivot has had so many remarkable shows it’s really hard to choose another most favorite. For me this show is as impactful as the Beasley show was. Over time you’ve had wonderful shows with strong Black men who’ve fought and achieved success based both on their athleticism and their ability to control and manage their money. You’ve also had terrific shows with the new generation of young men who are coming into the league; you’ve talked with them about fame and money and it’s been obvious that they have advisors and a very clear eyed understanding of the business side of football. Fred: you touched my heart deeply in your direct and straightforward observations and flowers for an amazing man who idolizes you. Nothing gooey of course-but delivered in a way that every word will be remembered. RC. Your apology was heartfelt and you did your very best to minimize the ME part of it. And Channing: your gifts and basic kindness showed through with your condom and money questions. People often remark that you have no filter but I’ve never agreed with that. I’ve always believed that you’ve used what might be called a surface lack of filter but you have a deep and kind heart.

I think a man taking care of his mental health, responsibilities, children, and work/business should be apart of the conversation… The pressures (internally and externally), challenge, and obstacles men face…. And what tools and support are needed! I appreciate hearing this conversation. I always think we should apologize when wrong or when we hurt someone with our words, actions, and power!

Browns have been my favorite team since they came back. I'm saying all of that, when T Rich was drafted by the Browns it was one of my best football days (that I didn't play). I loved the Browns for the pick. When they traded him, I hated them for a season. I still have a recording of my Madden run to the house with T Rich on my FB page. Very good discussion, excellent topic. My Mother always told me that charity starts at home and accountability starts with YOU. Difficult to adhere to at times because family and friends are asking for help and truly need help but remember, it is impossible to help everyone so you must learn to say NO and that includes NO to Mom and Dad IF necessary...... Tough spot to be in Guys, tough spot, so, you got to do it or end up not helping yourself.

Being born & raised in Indy, I agree with Luck thats it👎🏾. What about 5'9 Joseph Addai (1k yards + a 💍) as a rookie??? I'll also say our GM is an a**hole 😂
