You guys are so fun to watch. The stress, the changes, the let downs, the excitement. When one of you is weak, the other is strong. We once bought an old farm house from Mobeetie, Texas. Moved it to White Deer, Texas. 60 miles away. It took 5 days to move it due to having to build bridges that would hold the weight, just to get it off the farm. The house cost $500. The cost to move it was not told to me. I think it kept going up. Thankfully I was 2 weeks from my due date, having my 3rd child in 4 years, so I didn't stress about the money. My husband, his dad and his granddad figured it out. Pier and Beam so we only did concrete pillars. I was kept home until the concrete was poured. I got to miss so many decisions, I just told them to make sure there was a front door and a backdoor and a few walls in the middle. 45 years ago and I still think about that home fondly.

Here in Dallas, we have an area called "Deep Ellum", a place frequented back in the 20's, 30's and 40's by mostly African-American blues, jazz and R & B artists. Many of the greats came through there, Robert Johnson even lived here for a time and had a recording studio that still stands, though it has been put to a new use now. Eric Clapton recorded an album there some time ago, though, because of his deep admiration for Johnson. Anyway, a blues singer named Blind Lemon Jefferson reputedly kept calling Deep Elm Street Deep Ellum, and it stuck. It became the name of the whole area surrounding it.

Those are some tall walls; I would leave those forms on over the weekend 48hrs. Given I dont now the mix or additives that was used. Back fill should not be done tell it has cured 7 days. Also you need to water proof the foundation before backfill,Your still out about 2 weeks. I would get the sill plat & 1st floor rafters/deck in both structures if your worry is snow.

The concrete vibrators are designed to not just move concrete around, but it also helps in removing all air bubbles from the concrete ( like when the stone gets hung-up on &/or around the rebar) & therefore not having a weakened wall/pour, however using it too much can sink all the stone to the bottom, & move rebar out of position, pushing towards wall surfaces, and exposing them to air, which causes rust growth, & in turn can possibly make the pour substandard. I did a ton of concrete work in my 20s, and after 7 yrs I got out of it after all the heavy duty labor & calcium skin burns was more then enough for me.

Utah residents who are born there have an interesting way of pronouncing some words. I used to wonder how they came up with some of them but then I realized when the pioneers came they mixed together many cultures and languages. I am guessing that those unique pronunciations are the result of mixing so many languages together. People who are native speakers of other languages learning to speak English use different pronunciations which I think over time have been adapted into Utah English. So Allie you will probably notice other words Trent says that are confusing but it's what he is used to saying and people in Utah think it is the right way to say it.

FYI The vibrator is not just for leveling the concrete but for removing air bubbles that form as it pours. Its super important to get the yield strength required for your structural concrete spec. Failures not to do things as simple as this has caused buildings to fail. In the old days guys with metal rods would stir and prod the concrete with to do this and it was allot of work.
