I love the way Trent nonchalantly says how he fell off the roof…. Good thing it was feet first and onto a snow drift…. Good to see that you’re making progress on the siding, but snow is on the way (you probably already know that) so I hope you finish putting up the siding soon. Merriest of Christmas to everyone in your family!

Guys, when it's summer and nice you need to just go back and run a horizontal ridgepole from the old roof peak to where it hits the side of the new house. Then run planks, deck them, roof them, and create full height protection and deal with the whole problem once and for all. It's the most inaccessible part of your entire roof and will always be super sketchy to try and deal with in the winter. Otherwise, you'll be fighting water and damage in BOTH parts of the house as ice dams form and wreak all kinds of havoc.

Yes. Had my 1st in 88' and was blessed to have her begin sleeping through the night the day she turned 3 months old, but after just a few weeks of sleeping bliss, we went through a sleep regression (wasn't even aware it was a thing back then). 3 or 4 weeks in I was on the phone complaining to my mom (we were CG stationed 3000 miles from home and long distance calls were expensive so didn't happen too often), she told me to cut a small criss cross in a bottle nipple (had unfortunately been unable to nurse) and try a tablespoon of rice cereal in her bedtime bottle... It worked like a charm from the very 1st night.

Keep in mind, I fell 12 inches to land on my feet and I had explosive compound fracturing of my left tibia plateau. Took 7 surgeries over a 3 year period so I could walk again. No more running, no more jumping, and because it took so long I'm lucky to be able to bend to 110 degrees. I was about your age, not overweight, and quite active. My femur basically did a piledriver into my tibia and that's all she wrote. Take it from me, the *LAST* thing you want is do damage your knees. Don't believe me, go to any fast food place using crutches and carry your own tray to the table. Once you realize just how dependent you are being able to use your hands while walking, you then realize how extremely limited you are when you can't walk without crutches, a walker, or even a cane.

All anyone saw was my yelling out in pain holding my knee after the fact.

Oh gosh that siding is so beautiful and I am so excited for much of that to be completed before the harsh winter. Brandon and Grayson do such great work. Maybe installing a roof and gutter heater in the cricket area will help prevent ice and snow buildup. Have a beautiful and blessed day, sending love and hugs, bye!😂🥰🤗👍👍🙏💖💜💜💜💜

Next you need a covered walkway from the house to the garage. A hair out of square of course. Perhaps an underground tunnel. Now that would be awesome!

I can’t help calling your home Grand Porch Lodge. The covered porch and the house will be spectacular when all completed. Homes in the snowy mountains need names.

you should do a pillow or a blanket under for padding for Billy to get the baby caring to get top higher so he doesn't get helmet rash.
