Beautiful painting! Less than a week and a half ago, I bought a cheap little Huion tablet and paired it with Sketchbook Pro, and the duo is seemingly unstoppable! I have no background in digital art, solely self-taught in traditional for six years, so I was concerned on whether or not I could adapt, but as soon as I picked up the pencil, it felt natural, especially when paired with Sketchbook, it's such a seamless program to work with. If anyone here is thinking of trying out the program, especially as a beginner, DO IT! You'll be amazed by all the awesome things you'll create.

Amazing. Your ability to go in and redraw areas on the fly is stunning. I mean, ALL of your work is stunning, but I'm really taken aback by how you just wipe out an area with a brush then quickly redraw it and improve on it. You make it look effortless.

Okay, I THINK I LOVE YOU. 😆 I don't have Photoshop, I have Sketchbook Pro and love it, but have been trying to figure out how to effectively apply colour over monochromatic work FOREVER. You have just changed my entire universe.

Rarely I comment under youtube videos but this time I feel the need to do it, Trent you are such a great inspiration to me and I think to all the people who follows you and I must say that there are a lot of amazing artists out in the world but for sure you are my favourite. Every piece I see from you makes me want to start sketching something immediatly, just for training in the hope that one day I can achieve even just a quarter of your skill. Keep it up with your amazing work and thanks for these great tutorials, also I apologize if i made some mistakes but English is not my primary language. Greetings from Italy, Ciao!

You know I like how you don't let your your unique anime kind of style give you an excuse to do less detail. I'm not saying less detail is bad or wrong, I just see a lot of anime styles with very little detail. You however, are the opposite in my opinion. Your detail is insane and I appreciate the passion that shows through your work.

I recently had a falling out with traditional media myself as it often took a lot of time to get any work done (not to mention the costs). I was struggling for a while to find a program that could emulate that texture you see in pen and paper. I always used photoshop, but even than I was not satisfied with it, or any other program I found. Autodesk Sketchbook rocks! Didnt even know about it until I found your videos, and what is even better is that it is FREE! I could not freaking believe it. Is this the blender of drawing tools? Such an amazing program! Had you buy your brushes.

ive noticed/admire/am fascinated with your line works as far as creating textures. is there a video on the technique for creating those vivid tapered lines? there like a fusion of texture and hatching. im am very interested and am yet to decipher. can accomplish it in traditional but struggle to do so in Adobe Photoshop. xx

Hi Trent, Awesome tutorial. I was wondering, what format do you use to print. Eg, if you are printing your art from sketchbook to print a book what format would you save your art as to give to a printer? I've heard cymk then others say keep rgb, pdf, jpeg. Im a bit lost as im only new to digital art. Regards

thanks but you don't explain how you created the greyscale image from scratch. are you using a certain opacity to achieve the different black shades and how are you switching the color from black to white quicky while still using the same pencil?

Hey! I've been following your videos and trying to improve my skills. All I have is sketchbook free edition (which i think is the same) and I have an HP tablet/ laptop combo. I can't seem to get realistic looking or anything other than very primitive sketches. (Think Microsoft paint via 98) what tools are you fav? How many layers are you ending up with before you flatten? Do you pick another layer while highlighting or do you try to blend on the same layer... just trying to get better. I want to see some of your work real time. Thanks for the videos and keep up the awesome work!

@fataldinazor37324 жыл бұрын
The mobile version cuts out a butt ton of features coz i have used it before i used the desktop version, the colour layer kind of messes with your values and you cant get into too much detail since the canvas is limited to the tiniest size :)
