“Why were the insoles not replaced?”. We’ve received this question quite a number of times below, so I’ll save you the time and answer it. For one, this video is titled “...Resole”...meaning it’s exactly that. A resole. Also, these are $200 boots brand new. We’ve put out other videos showing us replacing insoles, and it’s a tedious and expensive job. The crack in the insole will not make a difference in the way this boot feels or functions. We replaced the liners, which we did not show, so the owner won’t feel anything going forward. Again, we do what the customers pay for. Sometimes we add a bit to shoes/boots in our videos for entertainment and to be generous. Replacing the insoles on this pair would not have been worth it financially. 👍
@HeathBlair4 жыл бұрын
Love how you guys are straight forward and care about how to take care of the customer. Not trying to nickel and dime them. Just making sure what they need and what fits them for their shoes/boots. Keep the videos coming. Learning a lot from you guys!!

What? No $500 repair of a $200 boot? My pair were seconds so they were less than $150 (bad speed hook, replaced with grommets)
@kirikennedy97964 жыл бұрын
When this type of thing is found, do you contact the customer to let them know and see if they want to replace the insole, or do you not worry about it since it's not worth it financially and it doesn't affect the function/feel of the boot?

Nice work good craftsmanship. One thing I dont see by any of the KZbin cobblers that the old times did was they truely renewed my shoes. All the stuff inside the shoe was replaced along with the sole and then they dyed the shoes or boots again and polished them to a shine that was as good as when new. Especially my original shoe man. Old Mario looked about as black as a coal miner from all the shoes he redid on those big buffing wheels. But man were those shoes not only comfortable again but beautiful.
