Agreed, helped me through my training, I'm going back into college next week to chat to some of the new learners, GSH Electrical is one of the KZbin channels I will be telling them to watch

Excellent video. A huge thanks to our KZbin stars who made the journey to the college. At 75 years old...this was unheard of in my days. Just awe inspiring to the the lads sharing their knowledge and experience with these young college students. Mere words of thanks are NOT enough, they gave up a day of pay to be at the college. With examples like these guys, there is a bright future for the "spark" profession. Gresham college, all tributes to you too for making this possible. When we are young, we all need a hero to look up too. That is what YOU have given your students. It makes me wish I was young again. On a final note, to all of us, remember the many many other hardworking "sparkies" out there. They too are worthy of praise and support. My two cents worth. Albert.

I'm not an electrician, but I like to watch those KZbin electricians and find the work very interesting, it was wonderful to see those guys giving something back to the students and those entering the field.

Some great memories there Gaz. What you and your team are doing for the electrical industry is truly inspirational. You really have set the bar for how things should be done. The knowledge of your students is also exceptional, which demonstrates what excellent teachers you are. As an experienced spark I still thoroughly enjoy your videos and have learnt a few tricks from you too ! Keep up the outstanding work, look forward to any future vids 👍

GSH Electrical love watching and learning, you guys are helping ensure electrics are done right and also educating the ones who’s want to try and diy it. I’ve got so much from you guys it will help when I rewire my house under building regs. So many little tips I’ve picked up. What are you thoughts on the Hager boards, I’ve got 18 circuits planned already and thinking RCBO’s with a spd

Where do you get the 20Mohms from for new installation? My understanding from the regs the minimum value has always been 1Mohm whether it’s new or existing.
@spencerdul28015 жыл бұрын
Robert Swingler - This is because if it is a newly installed circuit the minimum value must be above the value of 20M-Ohms, the relevant information is in guidance notes 3 👍
@Dog-whisperer7494 Жыл бұрын
@@spencerdul2801 with every one referring to GN 3 , we can throw the big regs book in the bin then , ? No of course we can’t, GN3 is simply that, it’s guidance the regs is what we work to and the regs say the minimum value for insulation resistance is 1 meg ohm , yet are constantly being told that less than 2megohm further investigation is required. So what do we work to the wiring regulations or GN3 .
@Dog-whisperer7494 Жыл бұрын
@@spencerdul2801 wrong, stuff GN3 , the Regs BS7671 is clear the minimum value for insulation resistance is and always has been 1megohm for new and existing installations. If I get a reading of 1 megohm I’m happy if I get a reading of 2 megohm or higher I’m even happier, if I get a reading of less than 1 megohm I will start to worry.
