I live in South America and we get Tretorn Serie+ Control balls fairly regularly- very similar to Dunlop ATP, maybe better lasting. But first time I saw a can of them I got flashbacks to my parents tennis shoes in the 80s 😊

Use them all the time. No arm issues and last forever. They are expensive but probably do average out less expensive due to durability. I took about a 10 year break from the game and found my old Tretorns still bounced like new. Holabird and Tennis Express carry them. I started using them as a kid because we lived in a smaller desert town and it was 45 minutes to get tennis balls so Tretorns lasted long enough to last between visits. They also work at higher elevations since pressureless bounce more normally at altitude. I do prefer Tretorns to Trinity or most other pressureless.

Might try those Tretorns next year.... Trinitis are a fail for me; my elbow screams when I use them. Liking the energy from Coach Pablo, a good addition to the team. Happy New Year peeps.

I love the Micro-X, from the very beginning (classic Wilsons used to be a fav / standard). My last partner didn't so much, think he couldn't wrap his head around the magic of a ball lasting so many years lol. It's a little heavier (feeling i guess, that solid thud), which I would say is good for your arm and like you said, longer rallies. They last years of hard hitting, much better for the environment. Just looking for some now, not as easy to find as a couple of years ago. Let's bring them back folks! Get some!

I had a set of Tretorn balls in the 80s that seemed to last forever. Other cans of balls would go flat after a while and the Tretorns magically stayed firm for years.

Used Micro X for years in the UK. Hard on the arm though. My club has switched to Trinity which do feel slightly less hard.

Can you please do a video on the classic show from the 80’s called Bata? What happened to them? The bottom lasted longer than most shoes. Big fan of these shoes back in the day. thank you. I enjoy all of your videos.

In Poland Tretorn is the most common ball because of the contract with PZT. The pressure balls is still like a rocks and I hate playing with them. But MicroX is pretty ok.

I just got a ball machine and been contemplating what ball to get that wouldn't die after a week and not kill my arm. Gamma's were rough, picked up a few sleeves of triniti's and they feel much better. Tretorn's come recommended but are hard to find in small quantities would like to try a 12 pack to compare to penn champs pressurized/Triniti's/Tretorns.

I might try Tretorn next in my ball machine, I tried Spinfire Touch pressureless ball and after only 2 hours of hitting, quite a few have shit themselves already

I use the “pressure refresher” on the same dunlop balls i play with once they’ve been out of the can for a week or so. brings ‘em back up to 17 psi, bounce just like new.

I was considering this how many times can you re-pressurize?

Would you use Tretorns in a ball machine like The Slinger?

In the my younger years, our home courts were uneven asphalt and the balls were Tretorns, so they would get really fast as they became more bald. The visiting teams hated them. Hell, we hated them! Fortunately the club upgraded to Plexipave and Slazenger tennis balls. Only have an occasional hit these days and have tried the Micro X - not as nice as a new Slazenger but better than using a flat one.

@tennisspin what about the tretorn serie control?

We go through a batch of 72 Tourna Pressureless balls every 3 months using the Lobster Ball Machine. The balls wear out due to the felt falling out. I am wondering if getting the Tretorn Micro X will last 4 times as long? The reason I am asking is because they cost 4 times as much.

My group has noticed that Technifiber balls last longer than Penn or Wilson extraduty balls. You can beat the felt off of Technifiber balls, but they don't lose their bounce.

You tested against the first version of Triniti ball, would have been better tested against the improved Triniti Pro. I have used them for a year now, primarily on clay and most players like them ... I find they play very consistently.
@Weltbummler23 Жыл бұрын
The trinity pro collapses more easily than the original trinity. The product managers at wilson wanted to improve the felt quality of the trinity so they decided to increase the felt thickness and sacrifice the rubber thickness. As a result of the thinner rubber, the trinity pro collapses more easily. I only hit with the original Triniti at this point, I find the playability much better (until it goes bald).

Wow..I haven't seen Tretorn in many years, but oddly enough I never played (or was even aware) they made tennis balls. I was buying, and playing in their tennis shoes in mid-70s. They were always comfortable as I recall, and maybe by today's standards a bit too cushiony (?), and they probably were a heavier shoe, ala Stand Smith.

Tried Soderling balls when first launched. They played like any premium ball at start, but went dead pretty quickly. How have you found them?

@@jerome_morrow That is correct, really good for tournaments when the balls doesn’t go as many rounds.
