Etienne has 6 touchdowns in the last 3 games so I'd say he's eaten up a few TD"s he could have had. He hasn't had any 400 yd games that blow you away this yr but they've won 4 straight and are 5-2 after being 2-5 last year. To say he's disappointing is ridiculous.

The problem is most of these commentators grossly under value and under estimate how much situation, culture, system, management and personnel, or lack of, factor into how a QB’s career and development turns out. People just automatically assume that because you have big time talent and ability that you’re supposed to be great no matter what the situation is that you go into. A lot of it is on the quarterback as far as preparation, studying film, working on his weaknesses, ability to be coached etc. but there’s a lot that goes into a quarterback being a great player beyond his individual skill set. So because Trevor Lawrence doesn’t compare yet to Peyton Manning, let’s go ahead and put a disappointing label on him? That’s so shallow and goofy!

Lawrence threw for four thousand yards and 25 tds and brought jags to playoff wins in second season and first year had urban as couch so that can’t be held against him and he still threw for thirty six hundred yards and he has never missed a game and his team is sitting in first place as we speak so this comparison is just pure hate based off fact he isn’t greatest player from day one. Peyton wasn’t the greatest day one and Trevor has time to become the player people believe in.

So stupid and typical of sports media to always search for negative garbage to gossip about. The Jaguars were never contenders like they are today and that's because of Doug and Trevor. He may not be putting up stupid numbers but they aren't bad either. He's a winner and has all the tools to succeed at this level. He also doesn't have a true number one receiver he can rely on every week. Kirk and Ridley are very good but not elite. Having Marvin and Edgerrin definitely helped Peyton too let's not act like he didn't have elite weapons.

I like Brou, but he has shown himself to be nothing more than a Box Score peaker when it comes to the NFL. Only thing in the box score to complain about is his TDs, and its not his fault they dropped 4 TDs in the first 3 games (Most in NFL through 3 weeks in 6 years). Other than his fumbling issue, hes been very good. Just stop expecting to be HOF level Peyton after 2 1/2 years, not everyone is Mahomes.
