Guys, if these tips still don't work, do the following. Turn off your cell phone screen but don't turn off the device, disconnect your earphones from your cell phone, press the button on your earphones where the microphone is located and insert it back into the device with the button pressed, with the button still pressed turn on the device's screen again, after turning on the screen you can release the microphone button and it will be working.

I had to install google dialer for other people to hear the phone, worked for me, hope this helps out others.

Hi there, the thing is.. with the tests available on the secret test manu accessible via the phone app, the mic works absolutely well. But when trying them normally with calls and the recorder app.. it didn't work. But the fact that it works just fine with the tests tells me that it is not a hardware issue.

In my phone it was dirt stuck in the microphone (tiny hole like sim ejector at the bottom of every phone). I cleaned it and its working😂. At starting when i was clearning it, nothing happen. But after few time cleaning again and again it started working. Note : be gentle don't apply to much force. I hope it may be helpful to someone, thax.

When I go to enable or disable my microphone access for an app it only gives me the option to deny, ask everytime or allow while in use. When I set it to allow while in use it still gives me a message to check my permissions. It doesn't give me the allow or deny option. I'm sure you're tired of answering any more questions but what can I do??

Everybody is wrong about this Samsung mic issue the problem is with the Samsung phone is that you got to keep the phone at least a foot away from your mouth when you're speaking otherwise the mic breaks up and people can hear you

Awesome and helpful in my case...i just had to unplug my earbuds and then voice recognition worked on all the apps which were already "ENABLED". It had been working yesterday fine, but when the ear buds were plugged in today the mic. wasn't working. Such a simple fix.

My problem is that the mic turns off on its on and when It goes of if I try to put the headphone the sound come from the out speaker . And when I restart the phone it works again but It will eventually go off .maybe after afew hours or a day our how ever it would like . Any one with the same issue cause I send my phone to the customer service twice and all they did was to make a soft ware and the issue returned again in a week

I got JBL Endurance Run Bluetooth eardbuds. It's working fine. I've tried it to answering a normal calls and it worked. It got microphone built-in. The thing that I notice is, when I wanted to choose Bluetooth microphone input on the pro video, the microphone input choices only allowing omni for some reason did you know why? If it's a hardware issue, don't take your phone to repair shops .. just visit Samsung stores. If your device is new, they will change it with a new one. Otherwise, they will suggest something else.. but don't just go to repair shop .. it will cause more damage to your phone once you repair it!
