50cc Scooter Won't Start? THIS WILL FIX IT!

We grabbed another Honda Elite 50cc scooter and IT DOESN'T RUN! We hit some major tips on how to fix a scooter that wont start and got it running! Simple carburetor cleaning and a little TLC and shes good to go!

I can tell you for sure, that Elite was used as a pit bike for the drag strip by the original owner, and the dude raced in the Super Gas class! Very cool!

I just picked up a Yamaha vino for $250 non running,the old owners changed the plug and put a longer one in and the piston tapped it and closed the gap,put a correct plug in started right up

your way of checking if it has spark is very true and i use it myself. But the method of taking another sparkplug does not tell you if the existing one in the cylinder works. Best thing is to take the spark plug out and then check spark:)))

Trevor FYI all elite S run without split cable. Only the SR come with split cables.

Question, I have a 2006 Daelim S Five 50cc scooter. I stored it for the last two years. Now it doesn't start. I purchased two new carburetors. it seems fuel is not getting to it. When i unplugged the fuel line from the old carb, the fuel just continued to flow. Is the petcock bad? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Picked up a roughhouse 50 sport been sitting for a few months water got into the fuel seen some gas rust brown color coming out the carb and fuel pump is this stuff in my engine head too ?? What should i do

do you need to get all the cables out of the way when you pressure wash it or not i have a bws from 2001 and shes naste the frame is full of greese from the previous owner spilling 2t oil

no as long as your nozzle on the power washer isn’t on the smaller jet, it could rip or tear a cable cover/wiring if so

If i remember right the regular elite s came with a single cable not a split like the sr? parts diagram ive seen only have the single and my sr has the duel.

not too sure i always just remove the oil pumps regardless hahah. but this oil pump def has a spot for a cable to mount so not sure unless its not original

The elite s came from the factory with no throttle cable to the oil pump. They only run at idle speed on the restricted models. Some people zip tie them open but premix is much better

yea most the time you can just unplug the whole key ignition and it will work . sometimes you might have to jump a wire on ignition plug to be able to get spark

Elite S scoots have the oil pump hooked up bur no cable ran to them....only SR bikes which are derestricted from the factory have the split cable that opens the oil pump with the throttle...so this bike does still have oil injection

Changing the engine cylinder to a 70cc and new exhaust 👍 if you want just higher top end but decrease ur acceleration you can change the rollers

Most likely cylinder failure. Check the cylinder and piston for scratches.

could’ve worn down the piston ring and low compression now, i’d pull the head and check the cylinder

ones the air/fuel mixture , ones idle. the mixture screw depends on which side of the carb slide it’s located but basically screw out or in will change the amount of fuel or air the carb is pulling. just need a flathead screwdriver and some time to tune!

Like 90% of the time its just a starter relay sometimes you can jump it with a screwdriver or just your hand mfs will also try breaking them apart to try and steal the scooter.
