6 to 7 More Years for Daryl, 0 for Rick?
Alright what's going on guys, it's Trev back again here to bring you another video. In this one we will be discussing the Future for Daryl and Rick after some new comments from both Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln regarding their respective Walking Dead characters.
Norman Reedus has plans for 6 to 7 more years for Daryl.
Unfortunately right now there are no plans for us to see anything further with Rick. He did say, 'never say never' but currently it sounds like there are no further plans.

I still don't feel that The Walking Dead as a whole has a proper ending. Talking with a couple friends they feel the same way and is really the reason we all keep watching, where does this all end?

I feel the show has 3 endings. First was when the main show concluded in 2022, second was the end of Rick's story with the ones who live, and now ending 3 will be whatever end the other spin offs conclude with.

To me this show will never be concluded until Rick meets back up with everyone at the Commonwealth, including Daryl and especially Negan. I've wanted some Rick and Negan moments similar to comics post Savior War and I'm still waiting. It would be a cool dynamic between Rick Negan and Judith

Regardless if he does 7 more seasons or it gets canceled tomorrow, Norman Reedus took an afterthought of a character (who didn't even get his name in the title credit scene until season 2) to arguably THE most popular walking dead character.

ill always love and miss the hay days of twd, but i think its time for them to call it, sad to see it just getting prolonged and dragged through the mud over and over

They have another big storyline they need to wrap up. Last time we saw Morgan he went off to look for Rick. I think they need to tie that storyline up. They should create a new spinoff, The Walking Dead: Morgan Jones and let him find Rick. Then maybe in Daryl's show he could eventually find Rick and Maggie, Negan, and Hershel could all return home as well.

personally i think andrew is still willing do to stuff with twd is they can come up with proper stories, but only when he feels like it and when he wants to, i think he does not want to get stuck with a contract with amc he wants to have the freedom to do what he wants and make limited stuff for the fans on the side or something, i think it is the last we will see of rick for atleast a couple of years and maybe they will let rick reuinite with daryl on his show in like season 6 or so... but im not getting any hopes up to see him again cuz theres a big chance this was actually the last we ever saw of the legend Rick Grimes :(

I feel that Andrew’s Rick Grimes will get his wish because the creatives will come up with a great story and place for Rick in the near future that’s worthwhile! Norman’s Daryl Dixon will eventually reunite with other characters other than Carol.

I think they can go a few more years with the spin-offs, maybe adding a 3rd one if TOWL doesn't get renewed for S2, but at a point, they just need to wrap it up and re-unite everyone, now i am not saying the universe should end, i'd honestly love Tales Of The Walking Dead done right, with lots of seasons, spent on dead characters, interesting POV's at the start of the apocalypse like the army or another country, etc, im sure you could do like, in a season, a few episodes and call it ''Rise Of The Governor'', another episode or more focused on Terminus before they went insane, etc, episodes about interesting small tid bits we saw trought the show like enviromental story telling, and in the future they can do a ''newgen'' series with the kids like Judith all grown up, that's just my two cents.

I heard Norman wanted to do more years of Daryl, and I hope he does...I think they just wrapped season 2 of dead city other than some retakes

Does anyone wish we just got to see Rick take on the Whisperers and the Commonwealth? Samantha and Andy would have been great but Norman did well enough.

Definitely. I always wonder how that whole arc would have went down with Rick. Even Michonne was fairly absent from that storyline. She was there.....But she was just there. She even departed before they were taken down. I think her last episode, outside of the cameo's in the series finale, was the episode after Alpha is killed by Negan. But I don't think she knew Alpha was killed yet? I just re-watched a few months ago, but I don't recall her being aware yet or Judith being aware yet when they were still radio'ing each other in her final episode. And the episode after that, only Negan and Carol know about Alpha yet. And then I think it's that episode that Beta finds her head on the pike, so for all Michonne knew, Judith, RJ and everyone else could have been slaughtered by the Whisperers around her departure lol.

Why was it never explained how the virus or whatever it is started and why was "everyone" anywhere on Earth and in Space infected??? Until this is answered, it's not over for me.

Yes for Daryl! Every love interest that he has had has been done tastefully & right. Rick-would like to see him again, but, if he doesn't want to return, then we have to respect that. Thankful for all of the hard work that he put into his character over the years. That's all I have to say about that. #TWDFamily

I'm just not a huge Daryl fan. It was always Rick's show to me and it wasn't the same after he left. Daryl has always felt like a side character to me. They should have gone all in and made Negan the lead of the show the last 2 seasons. I just didn't buy Daryl beating up Beta and being a leader.

I agree it was Rick's show, but I don't think Negan would have made a better protagonist over Daryl. Daryl's role in the last few seasons was great, but yeah, I wish Rick had stuck around.

@natem9080 I don't dislike Daryl. I just felt like he and Carol had a ridiculous amount of plot armor after Rick left and the late seasons weren't enjoyable because of it. Maybe it's not his fault and it's the showrunners, but I didn't think he fit into the Commonwealth Storyline very well.

I think Andrew would only come back if the next time he’s back they kill him off ( like Harrison ford in TFA😂). If they wrote it well and rick became something along the lines of the president of all the American communities and then dies and becomes a symbol of perseverance and survival that future generations learn about, that would be interesting to me. Also would love to see his death from a bite from his first person perspective, perhaps showing that there is actually a small fracture of the mind that survives after death. Anyway let me know what you think!

To me, I can’t imagine that Andrew, who hasn’t had any other major successes outside of TWD, wouldn’t want to get together with Norman again and have another season or two or kicking ass. I don’t care about any of the characters other than Rick, Daryl, and Negan. Carol is ok. I just can’t buy tiny women as survivors of a zombie apocalypse. And I like Maggie. But, same deal. They can be side characters of a Rick, Daryl, and Negan reunion. That would be a crazy story. Surely Gimple can get off of his butt and come up with something!

I imagine there gonna push Daryl and dead city, as well as something else out to 2029 or so. Then 2030 for the 20 year anniversary do a final crossover and end there.

I keep hearing in interviews with Andrew lincoln about being open to do more TWD episodes but the story has to be right, which is rather daft considering they just screwed up the CRM storyline - which has been a low key build up since season one with rick seeing the helicopters.... the commonwealth i'm not a fan of, just felt to easy and safe. i'd of had Rick and Michonne escape the CRM, say they destroy something not massive but important to Beale, so he sends his people out to take out Alexandrea then discover the commonwealth and hit that too, then you'd have Andrews wish of them back on the road, fighting to survive, the looming threat of the crm plus not knowing where Daryl is and visiting new or old locations. TWD does not have an ending just our charcters stories do ---

@@neilito15 yeah, you’ve got it 100%. It seems obvious to me that he isn’t very interested in doing more Walking dead. The ones who live could have been at least 3 seasons. Instead they did 1 mini season of 6 episodes with an extremely rushed final one. He just wanted to get it over with, no doubt in my mind. I don’t think we will ever see him back in a major capacity again.

I miss the old days where n Georgia when the real threat was Zombies and the survival of finding food and shelter were key. Now it’s a gay low budget soap opera which purple haired super heroes. And the whole floating to Europe to fight zombies and look for awnsers is preposterous. Thea shows went bat shit crazy. Even fear the walking dead, started out great in LA and then Mexico, surviving suburbia was great elements and zombies are the main focal point normal survival tactics while dealing with rogue military elements.then it went to some funky ass story line again. We could have had nuclear fallout zombies, climbers, mutations. But na we got mutated LGBT characters and fake ass super hero outfits.

TWD Daryl Dixon character is not the same for me anymore. Daryl died when TWD ended. 6-7 more years of Daryl, lol no🤣😂......its like beating a dead horse. I prefer Negan spinoff, being he really wasn't part of the main group....if you can understand that. Knowing Norman the way I do..... its convenient for him to do his other show RIDE by doing his spinoff here, there, and everywhere. Gimple shot himself in the foot when he fired Chandler Riggs as Carl. Gimple could have had a Carl and Judith Walking Dead show which would have been more entertaining with all the other actors that wanted to show up on and off if they wanted to..... including our G.O.A.T. Rick Grimes.

I was really looking forward to seeing Rick reuniting with Morgan. The writers should have teased it in the last season of Fear if they weren’t going to do it.
