So u set the sleeve in concrete then just drop the insert in?

Chris, this is one way of doing it. Other contractors set the steel in the ground first and fill the hole with concrete then sleeve the Trex post over the top, cutting off the excess. Either method works. If the fit isn't snug, you may want to put a couple of self-tapping screws through the post into the steel to keep it from shifting around.

I like the other option you just mention a lot better. To have the metal post in the concrete the just the outer shell

This video is wrong and stupid. This is not how you should do it at all. The break point is still at ground level. The metal post should be embedded in concrete .. stupid video stupid stupid stupid.
