Trey Canard is so likable, just hearing him speak was enlightening and how humble he is blew me away. I hope he gets everything he wants in life . Nice to hear someone so grounded with an infectious smile laugh & personality. I am impressed motocross talent even withstanding.

The difference is in other sports, the coaches understand they are surrogate parents. In moto, the teams take zero ownership or responsibility for the well-being of the kids. Thus why so few 250 guys reach their potential.

1998-2008 was a whole different world. Money was flowing hard in sports. NASCAR, NHRA, SUPERCROSS, MOTO, etc. NASCAR was gobbling up the money so fast, that they drove away their core fans in the attempt to cater to the new high dollar corporate interests. Drag Racing went from being singular small teams living our of an RV, to John Force having multiple car teams, arriving with 10 full spare engines, and VIP sections in the pits that were fully catered with fine foods. You saw Orange County Choppers and Jessie James becoming giants that had deals selling merch in Wal-Mart. Jeff Gordon was almost a big as Tom Cruise. Tom basically played Jeff in Days of Thunder. And....the Big Named riders of Supercross and Outdoor were getting paid huge numbers in the battle of the brands. That became the era of personal private training compounds, personal trainers, BIG factory teams with multiple haulers and professional truck drivers. The riders weren't traveling with the teams in a van from race to race. Now they were flying into events. Nothing has been the same since the market crash of 2008.😞😑😮‍💨
