The truth certainly sets you free and my hope for you is to never take your eyes from the LORD. You are a new creation of GOD in Christ woven IN His own image. Thanks be to God that his righteous judgement is not our judgement. First and foremost, love God with all your strength (physical), heart (emotions), mind (logics) and your strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. My the peace of Christ be with you and in your ministry. Brother in Jesus Christ

For those of you bashing the Bible saying it's nothing but flawed men writing the bible. In a way yes that's true were all imperfect but Gods able to use people through gifts and skills to interpret what He has spoken through them. Idk about you but that's pretty awesome to be used in that magnitude. This is also comes hand in hand to say where do you get your values from? How do you determine what's good and bad? It's not based off man because If you see how crazy world is you would not go off by what anybody thinks... But God he is unexplainable. If you want to have a great, calm, and open discussion I'm up for it. Otherwise let's just agree to disagree. Much Love✊

2 Timothy 3; ......perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, (.....) unholy; unloving, unforgiving, slanderers,.... without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,........, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God (and so on).It is devastating and sad when people or even entire churches pretend to love God , but do not adhere to the Bible and talk sin small. They disguise the clear will of God and the way of salvation. This temptation can only be overcome with Jesus and the Bible. If we follow blind leaders we will go astray, but by studying the Bible and asking the Holy Spirit lead us into all truth we will find the truth( cf. . John 16:13 ) .

Destiny Miles Give the fellow his due. He was exhausted at living his life by everyone else's standard. In doing so he made every attempt to mainstream himself to accommodate his life to a heterosexual standard. Do we as heterosexuals to become gay? No. of course we don't. It works BOTH ways. WE created the phenomenon, and when decent people are not allowed to be themselves by the dictates of religion and society at large, it is the others (not Mr. Pearson) who are at fault.

..."Love never fails". But where there are prophecies, they will cease... When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love! But the greatest of these is love!

I'm a Christian and I've gone to church for most of my life. I'm deeply disturbed by the self-righteous, judgemental comments under this video. This is the reason that I'm currently taking a break from organizational religion. It has been corrupted by people who profess to know the judgement of Christ, who's hypocrisy shuns those who could benefit from a fantastic message of love and acceptance. You do much more harm than you think, and you should shut your mouths and hang your heads in shame.

I haven't heard of Trey Pearson before, but I do only listen to Christian music. I'm not going to bash this guy, because everyone is held accountable for their own actions. According to the Bible, all sexual immorality is a sin (fornication or the desire of it, outside of marriage, no matter what your preference is.) I know people from different backgrounds, good or bad, that listen to Christian music. God ROCKS and it's no wonder why we're so drawn to Him even when we do wrong. Those that are against God are merely those that have become vulnerable to the temptations of instant gratifications. They lost their sense of judgement as well as self-control. Nevertheless, they, like everyone else, are granted free will.

You want to Love God but you equally want to have sex with a man because you are physically attracted to them. You want God to accept you and you want to put the rules in the relationship with God. You want people to accept you. People who put themselves before God. You want people to say your doing the right thing but I hope one day you can realize that your choosing yourself before God and opening a door that should not be open. Not only are condemning yourself but millions of people that will follow your message of "Love" and acceptance. A million thousand people agreeing with you and supporting you doesn't make it right. Your putting You first, People second, and God Last. I hope God gives you time to make this right.

Your views are limited to how you see the world as (I assume) straight woman. Loving committed relationships are not what God was talking about in the Bible when gays are mentioned. I'm sick and tired of people like you reducing us to sex and lust. Get with the program, take off your judgement pants and try some love, it fits way better on you. Once you're feeling better, make some gay friends, hear their story and don't talk.

Yes as Christians we shouldn't be judgemental or Bible beating but that also doesn't mean we can't share our perspective on life in God's eyes. Some will agree others will disagree but at the end of the day we knew what he stood for. I've been close with or been in similar encounters but that doesn't make it alright. God always provides grace if you continue living for Him and always finds away out of the sin. And just because you make a decision to come out as gay does not mean life is easier. It's much harder especially knowing his background. I'll just continue to pray for Him, still withhold Gods standard, but continue to show live for the person but not the sin

Tell me, when Jesus saved you did you experience His love and mercy or did he speak to you the way you're speaking to me? I've been baptized, I graduated bible school, I live for Christ... I know God's love for me and I know for whatever reason beyond my comprehension HE never "delivered" me from my orientation. Now, get one thing straight, I don't need to explain myself to you but maybe you'll learn something today.... Try to understand this... Maybe you'll have kids or have kids or grandkids and I hope none of them ever come out as gay... Why would anyone choose to be different? Do you think at six years old I CHOSE to have a crush on my older brother's friend? Do you think I went and said hey, let me be different, let me stand out from out from the crowd. And then as a Christian do you think I'm willing choosing to put myself in a place where loveless legalistic self righteous people like you throw trite words...

What if I didn't know Jesus and YOU were my only encounter with a Christian. I'd never follow Jesus. You have shown not one bit of love, compassion, Grace, mercy, or even intelligence. Does the fruit of the spirit reside in you? Instead of worrying so much about what I may or may not do sexually why don't you just start taking the PLANK out of your eye before you take the speck out of mine? And do a little research. Orientation doesn't change. I spent 21 years praying it away. It didn't happen. But God loves me anyway. Romans 8:38!

When people continue in sin and unbelief, God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God........................................................................................................................................................................................................... God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that people become homosexuals because of sin (Romans 1:24-27) and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as some people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person’s choosing to sin by giving in to sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger/rage, does that make it right for him to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true with homosexuality........................................................................................................................................................................................... However, the Bible does not describe homosexuality as a “greater” sin than any other. All sin is offensive to God. Homosexuality is just one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God. According to the Bible, God’s forgiveness is just as available to a homosexual as it is to an adulterer, idol worshipper, murderer, thief, etc. God also promises the strength for victory over sin, including homosexuality, to all those who will believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Philippians 4:13).

Or do you not know that the unrighteous1 will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: xneither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,2 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6 Who am I? Like Paul, I am the worst of all and I look unto Jesus for my salvation. If he is a Christian then he believes what the scriptures say.. I'm in that list as well.. the difference is that I hate my sin, I repent and make war on my sin. This is not a game.

If you believe in Christ then it is not "YOUR" truth, it is not about being true to "YOURSELF", and in fact shouldn't be about "YOU" at all. I know Trey and I've met his family and it pains me that he has torn it apart. I'll be praying for him. Matthew 7 21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

God loves you beyond your wildest imaginings, Trey, and Christ's blood was shed for your sins just the same as anyone else's. I don't know about the cultural component that may or may not have been an influence in those few Scriptural references about same sex relations, but this is what I do know; that in God's eyes, sin is sin is sin. There's no hierarchy. Your sin isn't worse than mine, neither is my sin uglier to a holy God than yours. "The payment for sin is death." "All have sinned and fall short." But the Gospel message, the good news, is that at the cross, and by his blood, the payment was made in full. We're called to be righteous, but we're also told that "none are righteous, no not one". The righteousness to which we're called is not our own; it's the imputed righteousness of Jesus. When we accept Christ's gift, that righteousness wraps up our sin like a cloak of invisibility, and God doesn't see it anymore.

As Christians, we are meant to "deny ourselves" and give up everything for God. The struggle of the straight Christian is not somehow easier than the struggle of the gay Christian. Both are required by the Cross to fight their temptation to sin. God's Word is either everything to us, or nothing. We cannot pick and choose which parts to obey and which to discard. It will be easy for no one. But it will be worth it for everyone. "It is easy to die for Christ. It is hard to live for Him. Dying takes only a minute or hours, but to live for Christ means to die everyday." - Sadhu Sundar Singh

I'm amazed at how you have justified your sinful actions, Satan is truly rejoicing that he has won you over. And I agree with previous posts that yes, GOD does still love you... but God also said to "Turn from your wicked ways". There was a reason Sodom and Gomorrah was burned off the face of the earth. You have become self-centered and like Ray Boltz, you have justified your sin as feelings. Life is not about "feeling" this is about you eternal soul. I'll pray for you that you realize that you can have homosexual feelings and not act on those feelings... Make God bigger than your sexual desire. It will be difficult, but God promises eternal salvation if you turn from your evil ways.

Destiny Miles You're a very judgmental person. If anyone here is arrogant, it's you. Unless you've been in a similar situation it's not for you to judge. I've worked with men and women who were in similar situations to Trey. They were from deeply religious families and were told from a very young age that god hates homosexuals. They got married to people of the opposite sex thinking that they had no other choice. Many had children with their spouses and while not all spouses were as understanding as Trey's wife was, they eventually came to a place of understanding. Most moved on, found someone else to love, and their children survived. Kids are far more resilient than we think.

I've never heard of Trey Pearson or Tripp Fuller. I guess "successful" is open to interpretation. And I guess they think GOD is a hypocrite... Praying on judgement day, in front of HIM, that argument works for you, but I wouldn't be holding my breath on a successful outcome. It has already been stated, God loves homosexuals. God does not, however, love homosexuality. For instance, God says, "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable" (Leviticus 18:22) and "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. Their blood will be on their own heads" (Leviticus 20:13). I'm not sure how you get around that????????
@suvariboy
@suvariboy 8 жыл бұрын
mlking5540 -- Do you support all of the passages of the OT, or just the ones that condemn homosexuals? "Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death. Because they have cursed their father or mother, their blood will be on their own head. If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife-with the wife of his neighbor-both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death." (Leviticus 20:9-10) "For six days work is to be done, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day is to be put to death." (Exodus 31:15) "If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you." (Deuteronomy 22:20-21)

I'm going to have to explain some things here, instead of cherry picking verses that sound weird to you. First off, the bible says that ALL scripture is God-breathed. (OT and NT) Second, the wages for sin(any sin) is death. The only reason we are alive is by the grace of God and Jesus's sacrifice which takes the place of our death.(Back before Jesus, they used actual animals.) Understanding that, every one of these "deaths" in the old testament could be forgiven through the use of a sacrifice of a lamb. It takes the place of the person who was supposed to die. (Just like Jesus is our replacement when we should have died.) Homosexuality is a perversion under the Bible and God. God created relationships to be a certain way, and anything deviating from that comes from selfishness and a place of disrespect towards God.
@SkullptureMonroe
@SkullptureMonroe 8 жыл бұрын
"Homosexual" Titles are mere descriptions. Sexuality is the act itself. God hates homosexuality. You can love your mom but hate her hateful temper. And it doesn't have to be your mom doing it for you to simply not like hateful tempers. It can put a rift between you two and make you not want to deal with or speak to her ever again. But you still love your mom right?
@MrBlueniyt
@MrBlueniyt 8 жыл бұрын
This is wrong thinking. Example: I love my child, I would hate it if he stole from a bank (sin), but I love the child and would hope he would turn from his wicked ways. God loves everyone, God hates the sin they commit. All sin, not just homosexuality, but stealing, adultery, the list goes on... but he loves the sinner. We are to deny ourselves for what God wants, not what we want. God wants to be the first in our lives, he does not want to be second to evil doings.

I know it may sound simplistic, but just because you have same sex attractions, does not mean you should act out on them. We all must push back our improper lusts of the flesh. It seems his exposure to some beliefs from Rob Bell and maybe others, opened his pandora's box.... brought the desires to the surface. Bad teaching, leading to sin, and the break up of a family.

SCG: You believe in anarchy. Maybe I don't want to stop at stop signs . . maybe I want to steal from whomever I please . . who's to say it's wrong? Who says anything's wrong? Just imbecilic logic.

+Gina Andrino no one gets their moral views/guidance from the bible, that's just something Christians say... "What's wrong" comes from common sense - not stopping at stop signs puts people in danger; having a relationship w another person of the same sex doesn't do shit but make your life better (more money; no kids)

I really tried to listen to this 'conversation' . . . I can't remember a sillier couple of guys in a long time. And all the justifying homosexuality, twisting scripture upside down and sideways isn't going to change what the Bible says about it. Someone full of himself/herself said "the men who wrote the Bible didn't understand the love between two men as we do now" . . . HOW do you know what they understood? That was incredibly audacious. God loves all His children . . but He outlined how we should and should not live. Period. If you can't accept that, give up trying to make scripture say what you want it to say.

Seems like the 1000 sects of Christianity, the 300 "versions" of the bible, major translation issues and of course who could forget that bible re-write in 330 AD and you have to know that each version is a justification for the person that chooses that version.

Wow Gina! That's spot on. Well said. And of course, the devil is going to send his little minions in here that don't have an understanding for the translation of the Bible. Please ignore them. They truly believe they're not being watched. I don't know why.

Brina Marie, I'll ask you the same question-which translation? There are over 300 versions of the bible and even more translations thereof. Have you worked with translations directly from the original languages, and the original texts, even those that were removed...by humans?

timbohp has the standard reply about translations. As a matter of fact, there ARE translations taken directly from the original texts. That old song and dance won't play here. Just another attempt to discredit God's Word.

Oh, that's gonna be harsh. You married to your wife, have two kids and decided to come out as gay. My advise is that you need to support your two kids, join LBGT church, divorce your wife and find a boyfriend.

With all due respect, Efraim; you're forgetting about the new covenant. Hebrews 8 speaks to that, and to the use of the law. The last verse reads, "13 In speaking of “a new covenant,” he has made the first one obsolete. And what is obsolete and growing old will soon disappear." The Word of the Lord.

Law is not going anywhere Matthew 5:17-18 17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Yes, exactly; to fulfill the law. When you don't understand something as in Hebrews 8, you don't get to toss it out. It means you need to dig deeper until it does. God doesn't contradict himself.

So if I understand you; Jesus shed his blood to ransom everyone else's sin, but not queer folk? No one said anything about any sin being okay. I said that in God's eyes, all sin is covered by the price he paid. The blood and the cross are sufficient. I think you're allowing your prejudice to dictate your theology, and that's heretical. If what you're saying is true, then please explain from that perspective what Hebrews 8 means. By the way, the quoted indented bit is from the prophet Jeremiah whose word I think I'll accept.
