It’s between Bruce and Freddie. Back in 1985 at the first Rock In Rio, Maiden were paid the greatest compliment by Brian May. He said that Queen had to play one of the best shows of their career or they would’ve been upstaged by Maiden, who were on just before them.

REQ: sign of the cross, blood brothers, die with your boots on, wrathchild, running free, flight of icarus, number of the beast.!!! you should try their Number of the Beast song. this song is 'kind of' a sequel to the other song. both have similar themes.. bruce dickinson IS the worlds best at fan interaction while on stage.

You've actually opened door to a maze that you will get so so lost in, and nothing could make me happier. You seem to be really enjoying all the Maiden stuff which is the best feeling ever! I wish I could go back and listen to all of these songs for the first time. I have two songs that I don't think I've seen a lot of reactions to; one of them might not have any at all (could be a first for KZbin). 1. Caught Somewhere In Time - (Incredibly fast paced song with arguably some of Maiden's best solos ever recorded). 2. Coming Home - An absolute beast of a song from one of their more recent albums (although that album is now 10 years old...) I think you'd enjoy both of these a lot.

Every song from Rock in Rio 2001 is a banger. Sign of the Cross (the live version) next. Not the studio version as it’s a different singer who was only with the band for 2 albums while Bruce was doing some solo projects.

As much hate as Blaze Bailey gets for not being Bruce.. his work as vocalist for Iron Maiden was pretty solid. I prefer Bruce's vocal style.. don't get me wrong.. but I have more recently found myself listening to his work with Maiden and enjoying it more than I used to. It is my belief that if he had been singer for Iron Maiden as long as Bruce had been then he would definitely have been more accepted. I do not, however, know if Iron Maiden would have been as popular had that been the case.. Bruce took them to a whole new level that I am unsure Blaze could have managed.
