Thank you for what you are doing .Speed kills but not always accurately.The trick is to find the balance between speed weight and barrel and choke to keep everyone happy .

Historical trivia: in the days of British rule of India, while tiger hunting, a double barrel muzzleloading pistol in .62-.65 caliber was a thing until they made pistols in any kind of blackpowder .577 cartridge. Was meant to keep you alive at bad breath distances and an angry wounded tiger. I suspect thier velocity was more likely 500-600 fps tops.

Hey Wayde, thanks for these Mate. Cool to see your Great results. I’ve been playing with the Bolo concept using some round fishing sinkers and heavy duty 60lb fishing line or fishing trace 135lb wire, to control the spread, target at 25Y. With dual 0.54” soft lead sinker balls joined by wire, they squished and impacted together as one. We found they’d penetrated into the large hollow log we were using as a backstop. Surprisingly they were still linked together by the trace wire. Two Hard cast 0.57” Musket balls hit 8” of spread by comparison. The 0.34” OO Buck sized sinkers threaded by fishing line spread out nicely 7” like a cheese cutter and were still connected, embedded into the log. The 0.34” OO Buck sized sinkers threaded by fishing Trace wire were in a 2” cluster, as the wire stayed coiled tightly together. I’ll try a lighter more flexible trace wire and the Harder Musket balls and sinkers, but with some card between them. Hopefully they’ll seperate out to the extent of the wire? Hey brother. Yes. I am referring to the old Dixie Slug company down in Florida! Yes, he passed away a few years ago. I have been working on reproducing his .60 cal 3" tri-ball round! I got some good inside info and I believe we got it!

I have made these alot 28gn blue dot,...but i form a cut out thin cork to put in bottom of wad so it dont blow out wad..i can get the 3 60cal ball holding very tight at 35mtr which is good for me

You can use any size up to .60 cal ball.

*53 caliber half ounce... 60 caliber three-quarters ounce. In 250 pound medium size game animals might not notice a difference. BIGGER BEASTS...? bigger balls might make a difference.*
