Props to you for all the work you had to do, I had a donor 2 door sedan 56 that I chopped to make my 55 a 2 door and I still struggled

Glad i found your channel! I like the way you and DD SPEED SHOP explain stuff. I hope you do more of these conversations. Some folks get tired of stuff like that but the more you do the more things you'll find that make it easier and you'll share that with us

Absolutely thank you very much. I do my best to explain the way I’m building it. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Excellent metal work. I don't think the door gaps from factory were this tight
@LovettSpeedShop4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much. I’m pretty sure the door gaps were little bigger from factory. More to come thank you for your support.

Thank you very much! I’m definitely not a professional, I am taking my time to make sure I do the best I can. I’m learning as I go with this car with different techniques that I’ve never tried. Thank you for the support there will plenty more to come.

Those two little patches around the window turned out excellent. Looking at the pieces, it's tricky to get it right. That profile around the window needs a smooth flow and it's very convincing to the two door post look. Good work!

@David Selvenis Thank you I was very please with it. If all go that good I’ll be super happy with the build.

How are you going to do the interior panel? Just put a stationary rear window in? Trying to decide how I will do this on an upcoming project I have.
@LovettSpeedShop4 жыл бұрын
I have the inner skin of the door cut and ready to go back in. I’m not excactly sure how I’m going to do it yet. I’m definitely going to cut the opening for the back glass to tuck down in much like the factory on a two door sedan. That way once I get to that point I definitely have the option to put roll up windows back in it.

Nice job. Lots of work, but in the end it's all worthwhile transforming an almost worthless 4 door parts car, into a valuable coupe.

Thanks for the content! I am wanting to shorten the bed on my 66 ElCamino, it just seems too long behind the wheel well. I don't think anyone has done it before, wish me luck, lol!
@LovettSpeedShop4 жыл бұрын
@RustBucketResto - Dan Simmons Absolutely your welcome there will be more to come. I have bobbed the beds on Toyota trucks before behind the wheels. Shouldn’t be too bad to do! Just take your time with the welding to keep everything as straight as possible. You got it! Good luck

I have a 57 belair 4 door.i had the same problem when I pulled the stainless mouldings around the windows. The metal was Swiss cheese.out of all the 4 door conversions I have seen in you tube,you have taken the time to make sure the fit is right and took your time. Do you plan on putting roll up windows in the rear?
@LovettSpeedShop4 жыл бұрын
Thank you I have definitely tried to take my time and do it to the best of my ability being I’m not buying new stuff to go back in it. I’m trying my best to hand make everything and use what I have. To hopefully use money towards the end of the build. More to come with that. Also I’m still thinking about the roll up windows I definitely plan too put them back in just not to that point yet. Thank you soo much for the support.
