I`m watching your videos on the 55 Conversion. Learning how to make my 55 into a 2 door. I`m doing same thing on the floor panel putting it in the passenger side. Learning to Weld have a Lincoln 140 welder ,gas and a New Helmet . The body is more solid except for the floor panel . I`m keeping the stock 265 and the automatic 2 speed. Learning from the Videos really helps me . Mine will take much longer to finish. Keep up the great work I love it.

I found a better way . Cut the lower ball joint off andcweld the end of a G body gm on the end of the tri five A arm . Then put G body lift spindles on , you can get 3 or 4 inch spindles at lift a brand . Gives you stock spring , G body disc brakes and proper alignment and spacing . Gives 4 inches .

I`m doing exactly what you're doing on my 4 to 2 door conversion on the 55. I have a floor pan and doing what your doing on the passenger side. I love your videos , before I saw your video I was already thinking of doing this. I bought new doors and Quarter panels expensive and doing the welding myself. I cut the rusted floor pan and install the one piece. Your videos are great thanks

Props to you for all the work you had to do, I had a donor 2 door sedan 56 that I chopped to make my 55 a 2 door and I still struggled

Love that you're showing us how to do this but its just a little dark . Im sure its awesome but a little more light would make your video a 10/10.

Good job man I got a two door that ended up being to rusty in the front and side of the roof from rats building a nest in the headliner that was left in it after I had it media blasted it was worse and ended needing a whole floor pan as well but I ran on to a nice almost rust free 4 door I'm going to use my 2 door to make it a two door one question I have is that back top quarter post how do u put it in just weld it solid on the very top out side I need more education on that part thank you sir

I just did this on my 57 chevy , I bought a tail panel, 10inchs of the trunk floor and the trunk brace , didn't see you install a trunk brace . I believe you really do need the trunk brace .

Do you take outside work? I have and excellent 57 150 that I want to convert from a 4 dr. to a 2 dr.

I have a near perfect 4 door that I will be converting into a 2 door. Lovette is the best body builder on the net, or off for that matter, and I have viewed many. His step by step approach is second to none. If I lived closer to his shop, I would have to have him handle this for me. As soon as my back surgery gets better, the chopping will begin.

Was at Tri Fives Friday and Saturday but didn't see you or your cars. But had a great time once the rain quit there Saturday. God willing we'll see you next year. 🙏 Stay safe
