The first DA didn’t make “mistakes”; she intentionally dismissed and covered-up the murder of Mr. Arbery. She and the second Prosecutor AND the “compliant” cops all need to be PROSECUTED.

@@marshwetland3808 I fully agree. I'm often irritated by people shouting into their cell phones. Not any more. After the Rittenhouse 'not guilty' result, I was deeply concerned. I'm European. The shocking racism, I've witnessed online in the US, has deeply disturbed me. When I saw the notification of the result in this case, I felt hope. Overcoming this hatred of people of colour will take a lot of time. Where I live, open racism is a crime. I look forward to the day the US takes action. We all bleed red, no matter our skin colour. The 1st ever human heart transplant took place in Cape Town, South Africa. It was hailed throughout the world. The donor was a mixed race woman, who's family gave permission. The recipient was a white Jewish man who's health had deteriorated and left him with hours to live. Dr Christial Barnard was the surgeon. The transplant worked for 18 days. It was the first of millions of such lifesaving operations. 2 races came together as one. That's what I want to see.

This is the EXACT reason why CRT was created! For those that oppose it, CRT does NOT teach children they are bad or racist..... CRT reveals how discrimination based on color exists in our education and legal systems....which is ONLY taught at the college level. This coverup is a clear cut example of it. Agree. But I think its a combination of ignorance and humans natural resistance to admitting your wrong about something. Yes its racism, but to them they think they do treat other races fine - they are just not seeing the big picture (and don't want to). Imagine having a pet cat, your not some cat nut job, but you like your cat. Then basically society/philosopher's/medical science- everybody agrees that keeping pets is bad - Unhealthy for you living with an animal in your house - and super unhealthy for the animal, and they find that animals live just better and less stressed lives when in the wild. For you the cat owner, its not something your going to want to hear - that you basically screwed over your own cat and made him unhealthy by 'owning him' and keeping it locked away in your house. So you'll basically make up any kind of excuses or brushing away the modern thinking that tells you its wrong to save yourself from thinking your a bad person.

If I was all alone, and three strangers pulled up to me brandishing guns, I would immediately assume that my life is in imminent danger--anyone would. They literally tried to detain him at gunpoint. Arbery was undoubtedly terrified. Let this be a lesson, that guns are NOT the answer to every problem. Just think if those three men didn't grab their guns, before hopping in their vehicles to chase Arbery. Arbery would still be alive, they wouldn't be looking at spending the rest of their lives in prison, and we wouldn't be having this conversation. They could have tried to have a conversation with Arbery without those guns. This incident can partially be blamed on the pathological obsession that some people have with guns. Some people believe that a gun is the only answer to every problem. And having those guns with them gave them a false sense of authority. We've all heard the saying that "might makes right." Well choosing to take those guns with them gave them the "might" in their minds, which meant they were automatically right, no matter what they did. I've observed that someone with a gun, will usually behave in a manner totally different from how they would behave if they didn't have one. And this is coming from a Marine combat veteran, and a gun owner.

True regarding those with inflated egos who use guns to help them feel some type of way. Gun ownership and ego do not mesh. But in any case, the few bad apples shouldn’t spoil the 2nd amendment right for the majority. What would you say to a single mother with three kids who lives in a rough neighborhood? What’s stopping someone from breaking into her home stealing, raping, killing? My mother owned three guns for protection. And those who want to strip her of the right to protect herself are evil and detached from reality. And if you mention “call the cops,” then please realize that many democratic run states have “defunded” and demonized police to the point that there’s a severe shortage in most blue cities, which happen to house the inner cities.

She knew what was going on with her kid: In June 2018, 911 audio reveals his mother Wanda Jones called 911 due to Mr. Arbery's refusal to give Ms. Jones her car keys. She made the call from inside her car while Mr. Arbery stood outside her car. During her call to 911, she cautioned the operator that Mr. Arbery had a *mental condition* that had "escalated" over time. Additionally, Ms. Jones told the officer that Mr. Arbery might get violent with the officers due to his mental illness, if they were too confrontational with Mr. Arbery or tried to arrest him or take him into custody.

Although the first two prosecutors were corrupt, Ms. Dunokoski and her team did a great job. I've watched the trial since the beginning arguments and she's did not let anything by her. She objected to everything the defense tried to sneak in. She was determined to get a guilty verdict on all three. Imagine working on all three trials and against three different teams at the same time. The judge was quite fair and balanced and I see him dropping the hammer on them when it's sentencing. It's going to be a tough to keep a dry eye when the Arberys address their son's murderers. 😢

Given that it came on the heels of the Kyle Rittenhouse's acquittal, given that it was an open and shut case WITH video tape, given the racial actions of the defendants and racial words ("the choices that he has made", and especially "long dirty toenails") of the defense lawyers, given the lies of the defendants about what really happened, given the lack of any real investigation and cover up by the prosecution for almost 3 months, and given that it took a leaked video tape to initiate a real investigation and arrests, it was immensely important for justice generally, our justice system, and all of society that all 3 men were convicted of murder. An acquittal (especially with 11 whites on the jury) would have set our justice system back almost of 60 years (think of the Mississippi Church burning case) and would have given any person of color the thought that they were never going to get any justice in our country. Obviously this has no impact on the racial injustices on our sordid past but it was a very small step forward and more important than it appears at first evaluation. And given that a conviction on a open and shut case is even seen as an important step in the right direction shows you how injustice and racist our country stills is and how slow the progress has been in correcting this major problem. This is why our whole history needs to be taught in school and not the white washed version that I received and the one that the far right is trying so hard to keep.
