Trial of Ibn Sayyad

'Abdullaah Ibn Sayyad/Saf Ibn Sayyad (Ibn Saa-id) was a personality that caused a lot of concern during the time of the Prophet (Sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam). His story has so many edges that the Ulamah of Islam have differed regarding him with various conclusions which raises these questions:
Was a companion? or a tabe'ee?
Is he really the Dajjal who is supposed to appear before the last hour!
Or is it possible that he repented from all evil and maybe died as a Muslim?
Was a Jewish soothsayer?
or is it that he was a shaytan who appeared in the form of Dajjal and then went to Isfahan and hid there and will emerge before the day of Judgment?!
In this class, will be to study the mystery of Ibn Sayyad and learn his real story from the authentic sources only... And then to see which opinion is the closest to the truth regarding what has reached us from the Prophet and his companions.
Indeed the fitnah and mystery Ibn Sayyad is mind boggling! To Allaah belongs all the praise and only Allaah knows the best!
