Trial & Retribution Season 8, Episode 2: Blue Eiderdown: Part 2

Since the character of Connor was introduced in series 7, it seems the entire storyline now is about Trial and Retribution between herself and Walker whereas everything else is a sub-plot, which defeats the purpose of storytelling - unless it's a love story that is! I'll watch series 9 to give La Plante the benefit of the doubt, but otherwise it's too boring and predictable at this stage, not to mention the lack of acting and thinking behind the roles because it's easy to play an angry aggressive person in every scene - well, unless they both fall madly in love with each other, which would be a fate worse than death itself... while the rest of us die of boredom.

The actor David Hyman does have a genuine scar across his left eye , He decided to emphasise it as a Character trait for Mike Walker , perhaps they emphasise it a bit too much in some scenes 😂😂😂

I liked the show at first, but I've noticed they're getting a bit carried away for awhile now. Not sure if I'll watch the whole series. God forbid what they'll be doing in the next few episodes.

Lurid. Not one of the best but that dominance and submission thru line Ive noticed in all LaPlante oeuvre goes over the top here. Mean while , back at the ranch - I mean brothel- the motive was stereotypical. A most interesting villain too, not so much sinning as sinned against. Another thing: impaired children appear frequently in LaPlante in unusual ways. Held center stage in one, important witness in another and deus ex machina in this one.

I had forgotten about this series, so I will start making it a regular one now. It was educational to go into the world of bondage, S/M sex. I could never trust a partner if I was bound x4!! I love the split screen. You have to be on your toes. British actors and plots are great!

Really mad story line and the dialogue spins out too. I suppose it's hard to write gripping stories. Morse, Lewis, Montalbano, George Gently and those golden oldies, The Professionals and The Sweeney are, in my opinion, better.

A terrible episode turned into a cheap porn movie. Besides, the animosity between Walker and Connor is just too much...puts the main story aside and that is not what this series was about at the start....I mean, the personal lives and relations of the staff were irrelevant to the plot. I am also annoyed with the split-screen ... makes watching very distractive. So, it's a bye-bye from me. Off to watch Lewis, Morse, Frost, the Ruth Rendell Mysteries.....

Definitely not for children to see... However, the main point here should have been the choosing between two different approaches in police-work: should they stick to the (moral and/or police's regularities) rules, or is it OK if they bend them in order to get to the truth and/or the desired results ("desired" from the law's point of view as revealed in court), or - in order to save lives or prevent another murder? - this interesting TV series does not give us, the viewers, any hint for a solution to this problem, nor a development in the two main characters' personalities - it gives us only the coping itself (with overflow of dramatic exaggerations) and keep us (at least until now) very confused and despising all the characters shown. There is no human compassion here, none whatsoever, and there is a danger of people having enough and abandon seeing it. Having said that, I must compliment the stories themselves, the rapid pace of events and the unique way they unfold themselves. Thanks Trial Retribution for uploading.

Well I don’t like Who plays walker either as he is like a predator . He gets women for sex, babies and someone doing his housework and cooking for him . His appearance not even attractive as I guess good talker . He doesn’t like women in power . I guess my understanding is the one that hung himself is murderer but does not care to say who the young woman’s father was unless it did as that would explain why he killed himself as after killing woman years earlier and him having sex with his daughter . I kinda wish didn’t watch this one as it bothers me and all corruption in high places . Thank you

I liked it. Having dabbled in the BDSM world nothing here was over the top. Might I add that separating love from sex creates something hard to explain. Something normally dormant wakes up. She did a great job showing that.

Finally. It's not until the second half that somebody explains that all that BDSM kink has nothing to do with sex, let alone love or desire. Since, as he says, no penetration takes place, arguably it's not even sex.
