Honestly, your channel has helped me, personally, immensely and i truely appreciate what you're doing! Keep it up, absolutely love your work. I'm a VFX college student, hoping to go onto study 3D graphics and modelling as I go into university next year. I'm hopefully planning to also buy into your 3D modelling masterclass course when I get some extra money. You're a star! Keep up the fantastic work and thank you for the amazing videos :)

I do use the occasional triangle but I avoid n-gons. I try to consider that I have no idea what could happen to my models further down the cg pipeline. If a rocket needs to smash into an object or a giant needs to crush it with its fist or a pressure build up in a pipe needs to have it buckle then I don't want to have a director complain that my models can't tolerate it because my topology was not clean. Expensive and embarrassing. That is the hardest part of the job and most certainly not always possible but something to strive for when I can. What do you think of 6 spoked poles? I'm am constantly trying to convince everyone that they are not bad. In fact if we all adopted the idea of them as being good, our models would have much better overall structure. I Really like your channel and would be very interested in your perspective.

Really well done. I like the way you use a lot of similar looking exapmles with different topology.

NGONS are for rookies. Avoid them like the plague.

what about using external program or plugin like as zremesher in zbrush or retopology in 3ds max or quadremesher to fix your meshes
@Elementza2 жыл бұрын
Sure, that works too, but sometimes (at least for me) doing it manually allows for more control

In an older video you talked about customizing Mayas colors and related. Do you know how one can get rid of that hashing effect overlay on faces when selecting them and display just the pure selection color?

Are there any plan to make a course for 3ds max? I would like to buy it.
@Elementza2 жыл бұрын
Its not really about tools or software used, focus is more on modeling principles, topology rules etc. If you know the basic tools in max, you'll be able to follow blender, maya or any other Modeling tutorial:)

Does Blender have a command that is the same as the smooth command used here ?
