Love getting to rewatch this old show! Used to be one of my favourites 😊

Every clip still brings me back to my childhood. I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in the 80s having access to this show. I used to run home from school to watch. It left me with a lifetime of loving science. Thank you.

amongst other narratives, yeah. and some people wonder why more and more parents want to homeschool their kids (i gather buying the curiosity-show-dvd set and show it to a child teaches it more than 6 years elementary school!)@@Bobo-ox7fj

Reminded me of triangular pencils. It would be nice if they had exactly that crosssection. I think they might have.

The few triangular pencils that I own have straight sides, joined by rounded edges.

There is an engine called a 2JZ or something that uses that exact shape instead of pistons. Look into it, it is super cool.

This is probably how the wheel was invented. Some smart math guy worked out the rounded triangle and someone dumber made a suggestion..

I'm surprised Mazda didn't try making a car with wheels of this shape... they look an awful lot like a rotor from a Wankel rotary engine.
@RoyArrowood Жыл бұрын
Lol. Interestingly rotary compressors are still manufactured and used in small ACs.
@TheKnobCalledTone. Жыл бұрын
@@RoyArrowood Apparently Mazda's attempt at a hybrid will work by using a rotary engine as a battery charger. Gotta love how Mazda is still a bit weird long after every other car maker got boring.
