I always learn something by watching you. I’m currently in school to become a licensed natural hair care specialist in NC. I’ve never braided before I started school so your videos and practice have been vital. I love learning from your channel. I’m so excited to be able to help my sister see how much more gorgeous they are with their natural hair, and I’m equally excited just to be able to pamper and love on y’all and making you feel and look like the Queens you all are. ❤️💯👸🏿

That's so awesome you are in school for natural hair care. It's so necessary to the culture. The whole reason I got into natural hair is because I had a baby girl 10 years ago and she was born with the most beautiful hair. I wanted to make sure she always knew how beautiful her god given crown was despite what society tells her. Keep up the awesome work!

It looks like a Fulani style. It's fun to research the actual people who created theses styles and what they mean... It's deserves more than just "Tribal " braids. It's OK to know the history

Hi Vandy. I noticed in this video you said don’t forget to tuck. I know I missed something because I thought tucking was done for instance if you have dark natural hair and you were using blonde hair for your braids so you would tuck do the tucking method so that your natural hair wouldn’t be seen throughout the blonde hair that was used for the braids. In the video the client’s hair is pretty much the same color as the braid hair so why would the tucking method be necessary here? Just wondering because I know I must have missed something along the way. Thanks and love your channel.
@powellkatie1234 жыл бұрын
tucking keeps the client’s natural hair protected under the braiding hair ... if the natural hair sits on top your braids will get frizzy faster

Do you have a How to French Braid video ?
@VandyVanity4 жыл бұрын
I posted a video a couple weeks ago on feed in french braids. It's pretty much the same concept with or without hair added. You can find it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKCZqK2gnpyJY8k
