They are cleaned off,put in fresh salted water and boiled several hours.Some places use Shrimp Boil,a masala for a certain seafood feast of shrimp, sausage and potatoes and chunks of corn cob.

These Lovely Ladies just have MY HEART ! Yummm , I LOVE those kind of peanuts, hard to find in IOWA. I eat the RODDENBERRY BRAND , sometimes just the peanuts and sometimes the WHOLE PEANUT ! PLUS... just love the saltiness ! 🤠🖖

I have peanuts cooking in my crock pot right now! Cajun seasoning. I think boiled peanuts taste a lot like cooked kidney beans.

I have ate those exact boiled peanuts many times. Almost as good as fresh ones. Put them in a pot, add salt, heat and eat. A great snack for a football game. They sell them in most grocery stores in the South.

Boiled peanuts can be made to taste how you like, we grew peanuts and made our own. Wash then soak fresh peanuts for a little while then boil. We used lots of salt and honey.

I had never even heard of boiled peanuts until I moved to Florida when I was 23. Its definately a southern thing. They were good but it wasn't something I would go out of my way to have again. I only lived there a year before I moved back to colorado.

I would eat fresh boiled peanuts every single day of my life, if I could. Peanut Patch and Margaret's are a poor substitute for fresh, but all I can get for the price since I moved from the southeast (USA). I have to rinse them with water several times to get rid of as much of the brine as possible, and then heat them in the microwave. There are a couple of places online that ship the fresh ones, but they're special-occasion expensive. In a pinch, there's always the crock pot. I boil my own with a tablespoon of butter and another tablespoon of balsamic vinegar in the water. I miss being able to pull over on the side of the road and buy them by the bag from someone who has a big stainless steel cook pot rigged up beside their vehicle. Tastes like home.

I was in Mississippi one time at a drag strip and they asked me if I wanted to buy some “bald peanuts”? I hadn’t ever heard of bald peanuts before so I purchased them. Turns out they were boiled peanuts and were extremely nasty!!!!! I’m not a southerner so this was completely foreign to me.

I live in Florida and everyone loves these things... I can not stand them!!!! People make and sell them on the side of the road, real fresh.... Still awful to me, the texture is disgusting!!! Good luck girls💗💗💗💗💗
