There is so much ketchup on those hot dogs, I don't blame them for not being into it. I could also see why they might think they are uncooked because the inside looks strange to them. Not everything can be a hit for them, but that's ok. Much love to the ladies. ❤️

Good morning, sisters! As I said when the guys tried it, hot dogs can be as individual as pizzas, so don't worry if it's not your thing. Hot dogs are basically small sausages that yes, are boiled. They originated in Germany, known as frankfurters there, after the city of Frankfurt. The name "hot dog" came about because its shape resembles the daschund dog breed. In America, a German immigrant sold them in New York, and that's how they started here. Like pizzas or burgers, different states often have their own unique versions. So perhaps different toppings, or a different brand would be better. And Ms. Rana, that very thing has happened to me when eating a hot dog too, lol! And lots of others, including kids learning how to eat one. At least you all gave it a fair chance. See you next time! 😊❤

The beef in the "hot dog" is minced so fine that it's a paste stuffed into a kind of edible skin, so when cooked, the paste is a soft solid so I can see where it might be perceived as not cooked through. The yellow mustard sauce is a spicy challenge to many not used to it. I like dijon mustard or brown mustard better than the yellow mustard which is colored by ground turmeric powder.

Hot dogs a way to get cheap protein (using up off cuts of meat) that you can dress up however you like. That's the real appeal. I wish they had a chance to try these with different toppings and sauces, and maybe a better frankfurter with more texture. I always appreciate the way they think about the food: how does it taste, how could you make it, how would it fit a family budget, all that. I wish I could invite them to my grocery store and kitchen so we could talk shop about cooking.

There is an American thing to rename German things popular in America because of world War 1 and 2. It is a sausage and the kind used in a hot dog comes from Frankfurt Germany. It was called a Frankfurter until hot dog came into use. There are many types of sausages in the world and all sausages are not hot dogs. I will go to a European island called Iceland to explain. They clearly have 2 main types of sausage Buer and Polser. Hot Dogs are Polser not Buer and yes Iceland has a hot dog and perhaps the best in the world. In Iceland it is either fish or sheep and polser are made from sheep. You probably gave them an all beef hot dog which is probably thought of as the best. Pork, chicken and turkey are inferior and not likely you can find lamb. A hot dog is the sausage and a bun. It has condiments and extras though.These are varied. Mustard paste is the most common but mostly children prefer catsup. I sometimes just spread ghee on the bun and it is fine but you can load it down with anything. I hope the ladies enjoy it and no it does not contain dog and even not pig for these ladies.

As usual you aren't correcting them or telling them ahead of time that it's not made from dogs and it's not a burger. It's just a sausage in a bun & 1st timers probably wouldn't like the mustard either. They should have grilled them & heated the bun and given them all kinds of condiments on the side to TRY like shedded cheese, chili, saurkraut, pickles, relish, peppers, grilled onions, etc... ketchup, mustard, aioli, hot sauces. We would have a side like French fries, chips, onion rings, tater tots, or a potato salad & a ice cold soda or sweet iced tea and napkins. If ur going to do it, do it RIGHT! 🌭🧅🍅🥑🫑🧀🍟🧂🥤

Have they eaten charcuterie before?
@frankfertier34

"charcuterie", from the old french "chair cuite rie", ie "cooked flesh thing", applies mainly to pork meat. Muslims are not likely to eat pork (haram)

@@frankfertier34 if you Google the new French definition, it no longer applies to just pork products and now plenty of halal charcuterie meats are being sought and available that anyone can enjoy.

@@rodiona8781 I did not say anything else: I said "mainly pork"; when you enter a "charcuterie" shop in France, you are not expecting to buy anything halal (except for "merguez", a mutton sausage which should not be given the tag "charcuterie", as it is raw minced mutton meat. Wiki quote "En France, un produit de charcuterie ne peut toutefois obtenir un certificat de conformité que s'il est exclusivement à base de porc." legislations.........

@@frankfertier34 I understand Frank, I find French people to be very closed-minded about food. I love French food, but I don't like the French mentality towards food. They will not accept any recipes that is different from classic French recipes. America is a very diverse culture and has been accomodating all lifestyles and we have halal charcuterie here. What you find in France might be one thing but many cultures are experimenting and making their own French food in their countries that fits their lifestyle. I've been to the Middle East and even small villages are starting to have the same foods I can find in NY or California, France or wherever. So whatever you find in France is not the end all be all of a particular dish, please be open to worldwide food and cultural variations. Please don't pin charcuterie (or any other dishes) as "this is the French definition, so this is how it has to be made". These dishes may no longer be French in the classic sense but can enjoyed by all.

they are NOT a burger, they are hot dogs. Why do you call every sandwich in the world a burger? And they come from the store fully cooked you just have to heat and eat. I hope they fed you beef hot dogs and not the pork and chichen ones

I know that they do not understand, but calling a hot dog a "burger" disturbs me. It is not a burger, not even close to a burger. They shouldn't be compared either. What was the hot dog made from? I want me a chili dog now and I don't even eat bread anymore. LOL!

Gotta boil them for a good while. I always boiled my hotdogs for about 15-20 minutes because I will feel like throwing up if it tastes uncooked.
