Mohammad Riaz's session was shot on 17 October, 2022. That was the day when a friend brought over the cat who got abandoned by his owners. Initially, it looked difficult to me to adopt him as I live in a very tiny apartment with my family including three adult cats. My mom after meeting this cat insisted we should adopt him and we did. He is now neutered, vaccinated, gained weight and is more active back in my home. The resident cats still aren't welcoming him except for Leone (4 years old). I'll update on Chester. Yes, we named him Chester 😊

Chester is a Maine Coon, identified by his long hair, bushy tail and calm demeanor. They are usually worth hundreds of dollars, and the absolve best pet of all! They come when you call them and live to be near you, much like a dog without needing to walk them. I’ve had 3 and everyone has loved them.

Oh boy, when Abdul said he could hear the pain in Chester's voice, I broke down. The loss of Chester is still very much felt. Though Chester did have pain from losing his friend, it went so much deeper than that. He suffered abuse as a child, things that no one should ever have to go through. There was indeed so much pain in him and he tried so hard but in the end, it didn't really matter. The psychological damage was too much and he thought he would be less of a burden on his family, his children, his friends, the fans. When you're in so much pain and turmoil, sometimes all you see is dark. No matter how many lights are shining on you; all there is, is the darkness. The darkness soon becomes a comfort, a friend and you find that you would rather stay in that darkness, forever. RIP Chester. Still very much missed.

@Haseeb 2 Abdul is the man whose opinion i am always the most drawn to because he has wisdom far beyond our comprehension yet he is still open to learning or experiencing new things. I was really amazed that he looked past the video, speaks a different language yet he picked up on Chester's actual pain. The elders in my family (Irish) are also very highly thought of , with their wealth of knowledge and their stories of our ancestors , we try to get them to tell us things that will be lost forever if they pass on.

Abdul is just on another level. I didn't expect to cry, but he did it. It amazes me just how wise he is. To so easily see into Chester's soul and recognize how awful his life was to this point, really makes me think he is just an incredible human being. "Whatever he chose, he did the right thing..." gave me a new compassion for people who've committed suicide. He recognized the pain in his facial expressions/voice that transcended the song, and saw the human carrying the weight of all his experiences. Its easy to judge from the outside and think that a person should just find a way to be okay, but I love that there was no judgement when Abdul was told about Chester. Just compassion, recognition, and empathy. I am going to practice that. I love this channel, and am always so enlightened by their perspectives. Kudos to you guys!

If a person is not able to find a way, other people should find help. Here again we need compassion, recognition and empathy. You think we can't rescue any suicidal person? Because if yes, that's just wrong. There are emergency services for a reason. Clinical psychology and psychiatry are not jokes. Letting, for example, a 14-year-old teenager die when he/she could get professional help and happily live to age 70 or more is just stupid.

@@NarynbekGilman Some people you can help, and you should. There's a good chance they'll find a light at the end of the tunnel. Some people are so far down in a hole, you just can't reach them. It's sad, but the point here is that you shouldn't judge them. You can never walk a mile in their shoes.

@Kimi Timoskainen the japanese have a tradition, more of an art thing really. they mend broken cups, vases etc and put the seams into a light spot (accentuate?). the philosophy is that what is broken can be mend and in the end it is more valuable now because it's unique because no two things break the same way. the scars are unique. I found it to be a helpful thought because after having adverse experiences as a child and having my teen years/YA life being a complete mess, after starting therapy I started to grief the past, what I could have become, how much better my life could have turn out etc and it felt worthless to do something now about it. so when I heard about this japanese tradition I realized that it will be probably healing to acknowledge that my past is my past and I won't be able to return to the new and shiny state I was at some time (or could have been) and it's ok to grieve the loss of my past self as a dear friend who have died, go through all the grief stages and start trying to find out who I am as a person now (like taking all the broken pieces of a vase and puzzle them together again into functioning (healed) but now with a unique pattern that's different from it's former one but it's not bad because it's different. it's just now unique in its nature, but it's not bad or faulty). I feel you and wish for you nice things to come ❤

"I am going to practice that" that is only possible by socializing with many MANY people, of all kinds, all backgrounds, even bad people, even people who are the oppsoite of you, reach a level where they can open up to you and talk their hearts out, then spend days or weeks thinking about it, all their facial expressions and tones (before) that, and you will start seeing similarities. I used to have that level of empathy, but my mind and heart can't handle it since I have some mental illnesses, so I had to (un-learn) it a little bit.... usually it's old people in traditional setting, like an old lady in a remote village, and old man in a tribal camp etc.... who develop this level of deep understanding of other people, different intelligence agencies learned from them and came up with (cold reading) which is a lighter version used in interogation, so it's a real thing.

@@NarynbekGilman I've met that person who has been helped in psychiatric hospital and still commited suicide. I played volleyball with him until he didn't come anymore. He has been there alot longer than me.I myself don't know that person very well. He looks 43-47 years old. And for me I'm 30 and I'm trying to get help too, because it's hard living while not being able to enjoy socializing with anybody that's my problem. Nobody can live like that. Sometimes if you can't fix yourself or nobody can help you even professionals then death is the only salvation. But I recommend everyone to get help first and really try to get better first.

The thing I love most about Linkin Park is how much emotion Chester put into his words and his voice. He went through so, so much. His music has helped me get through so so much as well. When I found out he had passed, I cried for days. Not because he was my idol necessarily. I know sometimes you cry as a fan of a certain person when they pass, but I have never done that. The reason I did cry this time was because I knew his pain had finally gotten control of him. I always knew what his lyrics were discussing. I knew that they were coming from a man who was dealing with a nearly infinite amount of pain. I wanted to see him battle his demons and win. I feel he deserved a long and happy life for all the struggles he has faced and overcome. I cried not because he was gone but the way that he was gone. Surrounded by nobody. Alone. Feeling so hurt that he couldn’t stay here any longer. With no note left behind to even tell his family why. May he finally be at peace.

Abdul has such incredible insight and great analytical skills. He identifies the piano as a symbol of time itself passing by, which in my opinion seems like a perfect interpretation. And later on he himself brings up the fact that there is so much pain in Chesters voice. I suspect he has a keen ability to see into a person. He describes Chester as an old man who has gone thought the hardships of life, and indeed what Chester went through as a child must have destroyed his childhood. Forcing him to grow up and grow old, at least mentally, way before his time.

In my opinion this song is about the feeling of hopelessness more than time. "I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter. I had to fall to lose it all, but in the end it doesn't even matter." The artist is talking about all the pain he had inside, now over time it's faded to a memory. In the end, what happened to him doesn't matter because he lost it all and became a different person. Despite being mocked and treated as a slave, what it meant was eventually a memory. "I put my trust in you, pushed as far as I can go." The artist was saying he put everything of himself into what he was doing and it wasn't enough. "Things aren't the way they were before, you wouldn't even recognize me anymore. Not that you knew me back then..." he's singing to all the people who constantly put him down and made him feel worthless. In the end, the feeling of hopelessness made him feel that nothing matters.

Oh wow, Amazing. Linkin Park is one of my favorite bands because you can Feel It. They are an expression of emotions whether happy, sad, frustrated, hurt or angry; it comes through in each of their songs. Musical Poetry (Gen X style).

I enjoyed all of the reactions & interpretations given by Muharam, Mohammad and Abdul. But Abdul has a way to synthesize complex, intellectual material and offer concise, simplified responses that are remarkably easy to comprehend. His mind cuts through information (even new info) with laser like precision. Not to mention, he has an extraordinary 6th sense in reading people - i.e., sensing Chester's inner turmoil - which probably hit many of us like a punch to the gut. But his reflection on mending broken pieces, and the seam that will remain, really blew my mind. Incredible insight. Love these people and everything about this channel. ❤️

Loving the addition of the cat. Islam and cats have been linked since the Prophet Muhammad's love of them. One of the prophet's companions, Abu Hurayra, was even known as "the father of the kitten." The Prophet Muhammad once said that a woman was going to go to Hell for abusing and starving a cat to death. There are a number of stories about the Prophet Muhammad's affection for cats.

The fact that the music spreads it's message over age and culture and language is so beautiful...when the older gentleman spoke about what he saw and felt in the singers face and he was SO accurate not knowing the story at all makes me think sometimes understanding the language and trying to interpret it stops us from truly hearing the actual message being portrayed. This was a powerful video...thank you for sharing your insights and wisdom. ❤️

I just recently found this channel (and subscribed) and I have to say there isn’t a single person I don’t like on this channel. They all have such insight to give and I love listening to what they have to say. Every time Abdul is on a video he has such wisdom, perception, and insight and I think he may be one of my favorite people in these videos. The fact that he could see so clearly into Chester’s soul is incredible, and I have such respect for him. I always pay attention to what he has to say intently because he always has something in mind that is worth considering. He always has something that hits hard and is always the raw truth and my respect for him is off the charts. I love and appreciate Muharam and Mohammad as well, they seem very insightful as well but the truth that Abdul drops always goes straight to my heart and I love him for it. We need people like that in the world. He is the very definition of “respect your elders”. He has so much wisdom to share, and I want to soak up every word of it. Thank you to everyone on this channel. I look forward to more videos to come.

I am constantly struck by how deeply these men go into the lyrics and personalities behind them. Very thoughtful. Abdul's comment on brokenness reminded me of the Japanese method of mending broken treasures. I see others have made the same connection here.

I just had an idea for another reaction. I was rewatching their reaction to Pentatonix just now and I thought that they would possibly enjoy two other songs. The first, the group 'Home-free' and their cover of the song 'Man of consent sorrow'. The second, Home-free again and their cover of 'Ring of Fire' which originally belongs to Mr. Johny Cash (from your 'Hurt' reaction), and which features an appearance of a past member of Pentatonix. Just a thought my friend. Also, the Pentatonix reaction is up 2.6 million views, congratulations.

A young colleague played this song almost to death in the kitchen every day at work on the diner at the Bingo Hall where we worked ..until I loved it too .but it wasn't until years later that I first saw the video ,and it seems so incredibly sad ,such a sad song . I related it to something totally different then ,and in my mind a far worse worse scenario than the songs original meaning ..When the lead singer died a while later ,that made it even more sad. So I'll always think of this song as achingly sad now .

YES! I love Linking Park!!! Their music is SO very profound and meaningful to so many people. A lot of people around the world find themselves in very dark and depressing times and words are hard to find to describe the derision or hurt they are feeling, but Linking Park had a way of illustrating these feelings perfectly so that other people that were depressed AND people that were NOT depressed could understand together. I hope you play and translate more Linking Park for them. Please let them know that many of the band members, especially the lead singer (the one singing slower) had their own battles w/ depression and stories of trying to overcome abuses that had happened early in life. The lead singer ultimately ended up ending his own life Chester Bennington/Date of death July 20, 2017.
