Ingredients 2 to 3 medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) very ripe bananas, peeled (about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups mashed) 1/3 cup (76g) butter, unsalted or salted, melted 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (not baking powder) 1 pinch salt 3/4 cup (150g) sugar (1/2 cup if you would like it less sweet, 1 cup if more sweet) 1 large egg, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups (205g) all-purpose flour

Banana bread is really easy to make, and best of all it uses old bananas nobody wants to eat anymore as they are mushy. I love mine with butter. It doesn't have to be fancy to be good. just freshly made. In Zambia they make bread with peanut oil, and that bread tastes like it has peanut butter on, just plain with nothing on. That was a unique experience.

Banana bread is delicious! One of many "favorite things"... ^_^ Especially homemade. Store bought is okay, but often over-processed / generic. That stuff looks homemade and quite tasty!

May look and taste like cake (you're not wrong, it's a very sweet bread), but it's cooked like bread in a deep rectangular loaf pan, and fluffs up like bread. Cake is typically made in a lower wider sheet pan and doesn't tend to rise as much. Also tends to be cut into squares from the larger/wider overall cake, whereas the banana bread is cut vertically down the length of the loaf into slices, like "bread." So, a little different. Could show them some videos about making different breads and cakes, so they know roughly how they're made and what the differences are. :)

This recipe calls for an 8x4-inch loaf pan, which produces a tall loaf. The recipe will also work in an 8 1/2x4 1/2-inch loaf pan, producing a slightly shorter bread. Since the pan is a bit larger, the bake time is shorter: 47 to 57 minutes. A 9x5-inch pan will yield an especially short but still delicious bread; bake for 45 to 55 minutes.

I slice mine onto a plate add some butter on top of the sliced part and then put it in the microwave for about 20 seconds until the butter melt into the banana nut bread. Yummy!😋

Banana bread with pecans - so delicious. There is a banana cake. It's more fluffy, and less dense because of different batter. Banana pancakes and banana waffles are quite yummy. My favorite of all are banana waffles because I love waffles.

They mean additives and other artificial things. "Pure ingredients" are things that aren't altered or fake.

@@AC-ni4gt Are you sure? I don't think they even know what artificial additives are. Besides, most of the packaged American foods they've tried are chock-full of chemicals and additives. How else could Twinkies last so long? :)
