I'm not from Texas, but Arkansas. We used to have Church's Chicken here. I loved it. When the man said, "When I drank this, I felt like I was floating on clouds," I thought to myself, "That's the sugar rush,". :D I love sweet tea, too. It's a staple here in the southern United States. Everyone makes it differently, but you always know when someone's granny made it because it's extra sweet. I call that Granny's Tea.
@BrutishYetDelightful
@BrutishYetDelightful 8 ай бұрын
When I was growing up, one of my friends had this awesome grandma and she made this TEA. I had never seen anyone make tea the way she did. She put a BUNCH of loose tea leaves into a strainer and boiled it on the stovetop forever. It was so dark and strong you could not see light through it. Then to counteract the tea's strength, she added a HUGE amount of sugar. That tea was rocket fuel. All the kids in that family were wild as a buck, in trouble and causing property damage constantly. I am convinced it was because they were geetered up on that tea. One glass would turn me into a chatterbox for the rest of the afternoon. It should have been a controlled substance.

I almost yelled out loud in agreement about the fried liver sandwich. I am DEFINITELY in favor of this idea. My mom fried chicken the regular way until around 1979 - we toured Kellogg's in Battle Creek, Michigan and she got a recipe card for oven-fried chicken using unsweetened corn flakes. She made chicken that way, we all went batty over it, and she never looked back. I still make chicken that way occasionally. Sometimes now I will crush up Munchos and use that instead of the corn flakes. Try that sometime.

As I recently said to Manzoor on his channel, I hope to visit and explore your country one day, especially the numerous archaeological sites of ancient Gandhara, especially those at Taxilla and Jaulian, and its museums. I also want to visit the ancient city of Mohenjo-Daro in the northern Sindh valley province of your beautiful southern Pakistan, which was the epicenter of the highly advanced renowned and magnificent Indus Valley Civilization more than 5000 years ago. You're blessed to have such a rich, historic, diverse, and splendid ancient past and civilization that has been the crossroad of many ancient empires and cultures. One day, if G-d wills, I shall visit you and tour and photograph all these wonderful sites. And it will be a dream come true for me.
