I had allergy last month and it blocked my sinuses. I couldn't get them unclogged with inhalation no matter how many times a day I did it. And then I ate my local food with a ton of hot sauce and all my problems went away after the second serving :D

I made my own from a combination of 4 chilies I grew last year...Habanero, Jalapeno, Ghost and Cayenne. it was mostly Jalapenos though, cooked them down with some onion, carrot, garlic & ginger. Turned out pretty good. I'd put it somewhere around a 3.5 to 4 on my heat scale but friends and roommates have said around a 6 or 7 for them. Had a nice slow glowing heat that let you actually taste the sauce and didn't just taste like heat and vinegar.

Frank's red hot = wonderful for chicken wings . Tabasco = eggs , tuna fish sandwiches Frank's Sriracha = ok but somewhat boring Better alternatives Tabasco habenero = full more refined flavor , much hotter . Mahboob will fall in love Dave's Insanity Sauce= incredibly hot , only use a tiny drop to taste test . Excellent in soups , chillies and Gumbo. Mahboob will have met his match. Real Sriracha ( 🐓 brand) = the most beautiful sauce with excellent garlic , refined heat , extremely satisfying with rice dishes.

Did you tell them it had vinegar? If you tell them it's made from chilies and it taste sour they will think it's gone bad.. Most hot sauces are fermented. Hot sauces is used in some meals to add spiciness and flavors, it's like adding spices and herbs. The sauces is a way to preserve aliments and sometimes enhance the flavors through fermentation.

They are also confused by the taste, so obviously they are not used to those ingredients. Not sure what point you are trying to make here.. they obviously don't know how to eat hot sauces since they served it on Pringles (no one does that) and literally drenched them with Red Hot sauce.. A more appropriate meal would have been chicken wings or fried chicken.

The ladies seemed to expect to have the taste of onions, etc. in the hot sauce. Instead of having the hot sauce straight, a lot of us add it to various dishes which may well have onions, garlic, other veggies, etc. Most of us probably wouldn't use it plain even as chip dip, but would mix it with other things like sour cream, etc. The one thing I did use Tobasco sauce for was to put a drop on my children's tongues when they said a bad word (easier than getting a bar of soap in a stubborn kid's mouth, which is what my mom did, haha!). Anyway, it totally backfired... after the second or third time, they loved it, and wanted it on everything! My uncle bought them each a huge bottle & sent it from New Mexico. We only have the tiny ones here in Canada (or at least 40 years ago, that's all we had). My kids used up their large bottles in about 6 months... I think my mom had her tiny bottle of Tobasco sauce in the fridge for years before it ran out.

Some people add these sauces to their eggs ,it is a main ingredient for Buffalo chicken wings, and in chili. cayenne is supposed to aid with digestion. People who have stomach issues tend to avoid hot sauces due to more heart burn and increase in stomach pain.

Fun fact: Hot Sauces are often added to soups when one is sick and are either suffering from stuffed sinuses or even pneumonia as the chili's and the heat reaction can often lead to thinning of the mucus allowing it to run from the clogged sinuses and be coughed up easily to promote recovery, and in the days before antibiotics were easily accessable in Rural America, could even save lives in the case of pneumonia.

This is wonderful. Frank's Red is good, but it definitely builds. (...says the person that maxes at hot spicy levels, too!) A bit on many dishes is really nice, though! Surprisingly great on scrambled/fried eggs. Could be a learned like for flavor admittedly, so to each their own.

This was a fun idea! Thank you for burning your mouths for us, haha! I agree that is more salty than hot! I like Maggi chili sauce and the smoked Tabasco that Chipotle started. My husband likes huy fong food's Sriracha, and the buldak sauce that samyang released that I think is what is in their ramen (it's labeled halal! And is tummy-ache too hot for me, but still delicious). What a great time to be alive for spice lovers!

Reactistan, if you're interested I can provide a recipe for a traditional spicy Mexican salsa. It will definitely have plenty of spice & heat 🔥. The basic ingredients are salt, garlic, & chili peppers. The 🌶 peppers found regionally may be substituted. Easy to make & serve
