Water does nothing, you need milk, as that absorbes and dilutes the capsacin, water is repelled by that type of chemical.

I always say if I can keep my shirt on and don't have hiccups, it's not spicy enough! :D Never tried ghost pepper though, it's extremely hard to get anything hotter than chocolate habaneros where I live, which makes me all the more curious. Scoville numbers don't tell you the whole story, I ate 120k scoville chili that was a lot less potent than a 90k scoville chili of the same brand just because how much more fruity it tasted (I put a tablespoon of that in chili beans per serving), and I don't taste much of a difference between 100k and 400k to be frank.

I grow Carolina Reaper and my minimum heat are Habanero. I don`t mind to be in pain - my back and old bones hurt more. But usually people eat hot stuff because of the sensation, an Adrenalin rush and some endorphin after that. Plus Capsaicin assists to prevent heart stroke and more healthy benefits. Our Doc should know that ;)
