Vaishakh, The bike would have become a really good overall package at that price but why would people go for Triban 120 if they get an additional crank in RC100 which costs almost half a price 😃. In a way it’s good that decathlon has provided so many options at different price points unlike many top brands where a basic road bike starts at ₹55,000+.

@@zaanvlogs Quite frankly biking seems to have become a dick swinging competition between buyers and the companies are just adding fuel to the fire. Firefox with their pirate 3.0 gravel seems to have hit the sweet spot for a quality gravel bike for 40k.

@@main_stream_media_is_a_joke The cycling scene in India has taken a huge leap post Covid and hence, the demand which is adding fuel to the fire like you said for these companies to take advantage and shoot up their prices. I am personally not a fan of Firefox as my friend did own a road bike which had constant issues with its hood getting dropped. Too many issues with the bearing. Decathlon does give you a better product and service as well. Infact the new Java Siluro 2 Disc has caught my attention as they have upgraded to Shimano Sora and carbon fork for 54k (worth the investment). No, I would prefer you go with the straight bar option on this bike as the position will be upfront and you can have a baby seat installed either on the front tube or a carrier at the back. This is a drop bar and mostly recommended for solo riding.

Bro I am a 5’11 , 90 kg rider can this cycle handle my weight, i have doubts on its spokes . And in your opinion should i go for the flat bars or should i try something new with the drop bars
@zaanvlogs7 ай бұрын
Hello Tanmoy, Since you are 5’11 go with a size L. Weight does not matter as the tyre pressure is almost 80-90 on the drop bars. Having said that, if your getting into cycling after a long time and this is your first bike, I would suggest you go for a flat bar as drop bar can be a bit challenging in the beginning but if your wish to ride long 60-80kms on weekends then go with the drop bars as you can ride a little faster. P.S the owner of this Triban RC 100 in the video was almost 96kgs and now he’s down to 82.. so don’t worry about the weight.

Hi Sambhav, To be honest, i do not know how the service or the wear and tear on the VIVA bike is. You need to look at the service aspect while buying the bike as well. On the other hand, decathlon provides you one of the best service in India when it comes to bicycles. The parts are durable and are available easily incase of any damage.
