The excitement is so real!!! Production goes wilddddddd. BTS was the first time I ever checked out full albums and I love the structures of intros/outros/skits/interludes. Like it has always been about them and the music, always. They were such fun and funny kids from the beginning to the now, it has just been them. Yes they have a certain style in this era that seems over the top a bit but we have to remember the time and competition and need to stand out. But the hilariousness of their personalities has been there from jump. They made sure to make music with a message, they wanted their voices to be heard. Idol industry was the best chance for them to reach a lot more people and I respect them for all the choices they made. But they also just made music for their age, good songs that always feel nostalgic to me for some reason. Listen, the desert and ocean references .... will forever be as important as the colour purple in Bangtan World and when you get it you just get. They had so much wisdom even back then to question the world around them and to write about it so eloquently and poetically. They knew how to relay the message too, soft/sweet if needed and angry as all hell if thats what it called for, they were VERSATILE (why am I screaming at my labtop). I cant thank their company/label enough for allowing them to write about these topics no matter how unconventional they were, they took such a big risk approaching it this way with the amount of money invested and not knowing how it will come back to them in the future. I will forever love Bangtan's story because its real and its still going. Thank you for this. I love that you started this during FESTA and on the anniversary. Its so much fun.

They were way beyond their time, like you said, their material, level of skill at their age, their approach towards some of the topics they talk about. The reason maths is still important in school is because it teaches people a certain way of thinking, a more numeric / analytical type that we do use in real life. Especially since it's a part of chemistry and physics. Most of us obviously don't use the exact maths we were taught in school but literally everything we use has some pretty high level of maths included in it - this screen you're looking at would not exist without maths and so would millions upon millions of other things. People don't realise the benefits schools and the knowledge you are exposed to has on yourself and communities. BUT is there room for improvement? HELL YES.

7:43 Jimin started out with street dance, hip hop, popping winning competitions etc dancing those styles, he continued dancing that too outside of school years later when he started dancing contemporary dance + in school while majoring in contemporary dance he also learnt lots of other forms of dance. Jimin is an extremely well rounded dancer but lots of new army who came in the last 4 years don't really seem to know that and only mention his contemporary dance as if it's his one dance style. I think they are confused because that is one thing Jimin been very much alone with as an idol and in Bangtan, the only one who does contemporary. + he has his many years of multiple forms of martial arts and does flips and tricks easily.

26:14 - 도깨비 (Dokkaebi - “dough-kay-bee”) is usually translated into English as “goblin” but they’re more like nature spirits who are tricksters. The myths describe them having several forms, so there’s an implication that they’re shapeshifters, and they can either prank you or help you out. They also have magical items (like their invisibility hat). They’re supposed to be quite powerful, too. There’s a good k-drama called Goblin/도깨비 as well!

Yess! Considering it was their first ever album, it really is so good! They’ve always been talking about real things, from the very beginning. “On the starting line” is so underrated, I only found out about its existence a few months ago… it made me think of namjoon’s letter he wrote us for the 10th anniversary where he talked about how different he is now compared to the beginning, but that the worries of his 17 year old self and his 20 year old self are still valid. I love his introspection and the eloquence with which he shares it with us. Also…… did you notice j-hope’s outro ego started with intro: 2 cool 4 skool?? They LOVE callbacks to earlier lyrics/beats/metaphors in their music, it’s gonna be so fun for you to go in chronological order and catch all the easter eggs and self-references coming up!

The way BTS literally came out the womb swinging is so crazy to me😂 They were serious and had something to say, and they were going hard against the grain by saying it. To come from such a small company and not even knowing if they would actually be able to debut as a group, the amount of manifestation and foreshadowing they were able to put into their early music about taking over the music industry blows my entire mind to this day. There’s no way anyone could’ve known what they would become. BTS’s whole discography, their existence and road to success really feels written in the stars. It’s going to be so cool seeing you go through all of this and react to these while already knowing so much about them individually!! Love how BTS' very first album blew you away! Remember Namjoon and Yoongi were working on this album for 3 years since 2010. There is a documentary where the rest of the team are so worried about Namjoon and Yoongi because they get home at dawn after working whole nights ie writing, composing songs etc. Sleep for a bit and then get ready for classes as trainees. The grind pre-debut was already tough and got even tougher once BTS had their debut. I think Hobi even said that he wishes he could help them and lift the burden but he was still learning how to rap. Same with the other members - they were still learning. It probably weighed a lot on Jin especially; that's why in their early years, Jin was quiet. BTS started as a hiphop group. Appreciate your unique journey, intelligent reflections, hilarious commentary and how much you are enjoying BTS discography, Run BTS episodes and other video clips like Bangtan bombs, interviews, Suchwita episodes, sketches, behind the scenes or the making of music videos, mini concert clips etc Keep up the great work! Thank you!

ohhh at last we're here, I am so glad to be here with you and it is quite monumental that you released your OT7 reaction on the day they debuted. Very ingenious indeed, I guess RM has influenced you a lot when it comes to creating good content/s. Anyway, I am just too happy that we are here and no more limiting ourselves to spoiling any OT7 songs or performances. You will def. love this journey as we did...borahae~

6:42 it's really hard to overstate how unusual BTS was in the kpop scene of back then and what a lasting effect they had on it. simply by being actual musicians actual rappers sharing their actual thoughts and calling the actual shit going on around them out. all of this was unprecedented. they turned kpop upside down and all the big kpop companies feared them for it and started first sabotaging them and when that didn't stick and only resulted in more powerful disstracks by BTS they started copying everything they do. kpop today is basically a cheap BTS copy.

The BTS story is the real David & Goliath story in the Korean Music Industry. It is an underdog story that is not uncommon for small labels outside the big 3 in SK's massive Kpop Industry. However, Bangtan Sonyeondan is the only group that succeeded beyond any one's expectations even those of BTS themselves. The magic lies in how these 7 scrappy and fierce young men who 10 years ago most of them were still in their teens defied the odds, believed in themselves, trusted their mentor & boss Bang PD, shook off all the arrows pointed their way, weathered every mistreatment, every calculated sabotage by the powerful music companies that monopolized Kpop, how they rose above all the negative publicity from a controlled media and withstood a collective targeted multiple social media attack by other fandoms. Truly disheartening. Yet these 7 kids circumvented that prejudiced judgmental kpop system and broke that proverbial glass ceiling over and over again thru sheer grit, discipline and an indefatigable work ethic. BTS created and developed their own strategy to reach their fans because they were shunned by established TV variety shows. So they started personal blogs, Vlives, their own variety show Run BTS and other media content. They realized early on how Army was also affected by their hardships and vowed that they would always do their best and work extremely hard so that their fans would not be embarassed to be called BTS A.R.M.Y They saw Army as their true friends who like them experienced all the horrible stuff that they experienced. They recognized that Army protected them and when Army grew in numbers globally, they saw Army's massive power and reach. To this day, BTS still asks "Why them?" They know that there are other kpop groups who are hardworking and talented too. What is it that gained them such a loyal following of people from toddlers to the elderly from nearly every country on this planet? That is the true magic of these courageous, intelligent, extremely talented, honest and humble young men. Those big 3 companies have tried to replicate it. They will never succeed because there is no formula. There will only be one Bangtan Sonyeondan. Let the other kpop groups make their own unique path to success. Only then will they be able to see if they have what it takes to write their own history.

They have hidden tracks and extended versions of songs that are only available on CDs. For example, PROOF has disc 3 that is only their demos and is not available online. On BE, the track Telepathy is 1 min longer on the CD vs the AM/Spotify versions. Boy with love has heavier Halsey participation on the CD than what's on streaming platforms. Plus the CD versions sound way crisper, and the layers of music are just that right level of spicy. Not listening to the CD is missing out on another experience. They make it worth your money to buy their albums since the physical is different enough that you want to pop it in your cd player. I always extract the CD tracks and download them to my phone to listen. SEA is also a hidden track only available on their CD. There's lots of other ones, and extended versions.

IT'S FINALLY OT7 TIME I'M SO EXCITED 😭 I'm so looking forward to your rollercoaster ride to their journey 🤗 Ngl, we are bulletproof was the song that dragged me through this rabbit hole back in 2014 and it's still a banger even after these many years. All they had was their dream and they were so good at what they do from the start and look where they are right now, dominating the world 😭 I'm so proud of them. Happy 10 years together everyone 💜

So the only hidden tracks according to my quick google are on 2 kool 4 skool (the album you just listened to) and love yourself : her. Specifically love yourself her as an amazing track called "sea" and its so fucking good I ripped a WAV quality version from the cd and put it on my phone (along with their entire discography) Other then that there is a special edition version of School love affair which has two extra tracks over the base version which I THINK isn't available digitally (could be wrong). And finally their anthology album proof is 3 discs and I believe almost the entire 3rd disc isn't on spotify (except for the song For Youth). Reason being is the 3rd disc with the exception of the one song are all "demo" versions of earlier releases so it's almost like a bonus content cd for those truly interested in the DNA of some awesome tracks

Bangtan really debuted strong and ready to change the world with their messages and music. They have an strong artistic identity since the beginning and you can tell they were different from the rest. The fact these songs still slaps it says a lot! I love No More Dream. Bangtan really trying to 'wake' their peers up by asking them 'what really is your dream? u want big house, big cars but u don't have any big dreams?'. it's a huge invitation for self-reflection and introspection. youth are just being told they need to study from morning till night but they don't know what they are studying for. are they working towards a goal they really want? have they figured out what they want their life to be? Bangtan is also criticising adults in society for raising up the youth this way, in a system where they feel a despair and fear about being able to dream / chase their own path and passion

in many ways i wish i heard this message when i was a teen. it wasn't to the extent to most korean kids then but i was never sure what my efforts were for -- i just knew i needed to do well at school and i believed the lie that if i did ok at school, my life would be set. i honestly only did real self-reflection much later in life... well into my adulthood.

Suga's first words (I wanna big house, big cars and big rings) have been used in other songs and each one has a different meaning, it's quite a journey. Also at the beginning of the No More Dream MV, the song that is heard when each of the boys is introduced is We are bulletproof Pt 1 (the album only has part 2) and if I'm not mistaken they did it when they were still trainees and it's not included in any album

tbh the reason why I watch you mostly because I wanna relive the days as a baby army where I was just getting to know them. Every time you show a reaction, I be like 'that was my reaction years ago!' This is my 6th year of being an ARMY and I'm always happy to see genuine people like you react to BTS! PS HAPPY FESTA BTS AND ARMY!!!!
