As a now longtime fan of the series that has seen beloved iteration after beloved iteration struggle to maintain a playerbase beyond us crotchety boomers, THIS could very well be the future of Tribes and I would live happily ever after. It's beginner friendly both to players and maybe most importantly, spectators. It's a concept that takes a very complex and intricate z-shooter and puts it in the context of ball and goal. It gives noobs clear goals to make and roles to practice while still preserving the maximum skill ceiling the series is known for. This is probably a blasphemous take to all the older fans out there but I think the world is ready. This should be the primary focus of development if they want to foster an esports scene.

What's great about it as well is that I don't think it has to take anything away from CTF. If something like Honorball draws people to the game as a whole, there will inevitably be people who gravitate towards CTF as well.

Hated Bombrun initially and thought it was kinda lazy. Ironically I think honorball is even simpler, but I love it. I've been craving it. I think it has real potential to go to the moon, but they gotta work on it. BTW Palword took off by being "Pokemon with guns" and this is like "Rocket League with guns"... Maybe it fits the current zeitgeist.

As much as I was skeptical about the Honor Bomb mode, and kinda rolled my eyes because the alpha was making me play 10 games of it before I started the CTF mode... I found myself having a heck of a lot of fun with it. I do play Rocket League as well, so yeah, if they do what HotRodRe asked, I might be just a HB believer . =] Also loving your content, really enjoying your takes. Excited for the game!

This isn't much different than 1-flag CTF really, which had some popularity in the Tribes2 days if I'm remembering correctly. Makes sense to see an evolution of it.

Not sure about the Proton/Steam Play support but there is a public demo available on steam until the 12th and we seem to get alpha tests every weekend.
