A Vauban PSA A note about Vector Pad: This is DE's gift to all who hate a roaming defense target and want him to stay in a room. When affecting a player they must be traveling in the direction of the pad to get the boost. I understand this and am rather fine with this as it prevents some heavy trolling actions. However, if any NPC (A Kavat, an enemy, the defense target on a sortie, I think even the Tesla Balls) attempts to step on the pad, regardless of their movement, they will be catapulted in the direction you desire. This, in turn, has made a Vauban a welcome sight on Sortie Defense...And as a Vauban Main since before his rework (yes, we existed. We just didn't come out of our caves often) We have taken to this role often enough to keep him in a corner or a specific room, safe and sound, so you all can kill to your heart's content while we either keep him bounced into a corner or between two bounce pads to pass the time and fix our boredom. So if you hop onto a Sortie Defense and you see Vauban looking at your defense target and avoiding activating it as he's instead throwing his balls at the Sortie Defense in hopes of launching him to the other side of the ship, from us to you, make our life easier and allow us to get him there by doing...Really anything you can. Kill enemies in the way, let them launch them out of the circle and continue to lead them to safety, or if you are a Loki (My first frame and my best friend for this sort of thing) switch teleport him into a room that we can keep him in, lock him in a corner with a Vector Pad or two, and then place our CC outside the door and laugh. I now love vector pad. Used this in a sortie and have never had more fun. Kept the defense Target in a room until he restored to warping space time to try and escape. And he still failed

@@Raikeran Don't need to like it, but I just wanted to share this information with others. People seem to say it is 100% useless. I have to disagree. They launch enemies where and when I want them, I can chain these together to launch enemies who jump down from higher elevations away from a defense objective (I do this on Sedna when leveling weapons and the enemy tries their best to get to it. You would be surprised how many places you can hold down if your team needs you to and the Flechette orbs thank you for launching enemies towards them.) or off a cliff if there is one nearby. I can keep a defense objective in a room for a sortie, and I am pretty sure this is a troll weapon against NPCs on Interception as they come close to activate it and instead are launched to the other side of the room. Still need to test that last one, I doubt they have KB protection when they go into that animation. But it was just a harmless PSA. I have found some uses for vector pads. You can use them to force enemies into kill zones of other warframes. I spent an entire defense mission launching corpus into the aoe of another vauban's vortex with vector pads. You can basically use them to force most enemies to move where you want them to.

Prolly not, since he still works largely the same. And the only *major* buff I've seen was with his augment. While I still like him, I still have many the same issues as I have in the past. I still think restraint is too annoying to lower, I think Desolate Hands needs to be more controllable, ect. So I don't have much to go over again

I made a vauban build with repelling bastille and buffed range as much as possible along with efficiency and duration (I go negative in strength but I don’t need strength with this build. What I do is just spam the vortex so enemies literally can’t do anything. This is enhanced when I have a dojo buddy using protea to give me more energy. It makes survivals and defenses a cakewalk.

i have been a vauban main for a few years now, basically since 2019, only because hes some of the best fun i have ever had in this game! hes got decent damage, a lot of meme potential, and if you replace his 3 with thermal sunder, you can set up the perfect death bubble by throwing down a dart trap, a vortex ontop of it, and using thermal sunder on top of that all! i also have him built with a stupid amount of energy max and ability efficiency so i can just spam everything constantly

It was nice to see a video that actually gives props to my main train. I mostly just either run around with THE SQUAD killing the shocked procked or laughing after setting up a Flechette blender and watching them decorate the tile with corpses

Funnily enough, the vector pad actually works very well for me in many ways 1. Ledges, why kill enemies when I can just scoop them off? 2. My friends get easily lost in maps, why show em where you o go when I can just deliver em? 3. Nervos, got an enemy across the map that you don't wanna deal with? Pop a pad and toss your squad, they'll get em 4. I have a ghoulsaw, which with butchers rivalry allows me to ride it a short distance, but why do that when I can throw myself a mile across the map by riding it sonic racer style on a speed boost
