Another fair and honest video I’m trying to find a suitable vessel so I can do a brew in the bag, there’s a s/s beer keg in Gravesend I’m Daughter can pick it up on her way back for our birthdays 🤞 please keep up the good work as I enjoy your content 🤙👍

Thanks mate, appreciate your comments. The pot I use in this video is still available on Amazon for £26. It’s fine for small 12l batches of BIAB and I still use it a lot for extract brewing too.

Well done, it's nice to see you having a go with all grain beer, yes the colour is bang on, you can only gain more experience in time, I always use pure brew, and I find it makes a big difference to the beer , I wish you all the best and keep up the good work, very entertaining videos 🍺👍

It is mate, worth a go...I found myself heading towards hoppy American style beers as a default, so made a nice change. Cheers! 🍻

Great review! Your brew wouldn't taste quite the same anyway because it is a real ale which their bottle is not. I bet your's is closer in taste to their scrumptious cask version with lovely yeast! Cheers mate, I've just subscribed...

Thanks mate and yes it’s really nice beer and straightforward to brew. Cheers!

That looks an amazing beer. Very clear too. Did you use finings? The extract version I tried wasn't really comparable as it had too much malt flavour.
@G-townbrewer Жыл бұрын
I was pleased how it turned out. No finings, but I did cold crash before bottling and it's been in the shed for a couple of months. I would imagine it would be quite tricky to brew with extract as it's a very delicate ale and as you say the malt flavour tends to be quite dominant from extract. Was it all extract or part grain, as I think the munich malt contributes quite a bit to the character?

nice looking beer! - i only do 2 gallon stove top all grain brews now as i find its easier to do 3 or 4 small batches than one large brew - whereabouts in kent are you?
@G-townbrewer Жыл бұрын
I often to smaller batches too as I like to experiment, but do larger batches when they come in kits like this. I’m in Gravesend, you?

A query rather than a comment. Can grain/hop bags be washed, sterilised and used again or should they be discarded after one use?
@G-townbrewer Жыл бұрын
I don’t use the mesh bags for dry hopping as I’d be worried about infection and I cold crash anyway so all the hops fall to the bottom of the FV anyway. The mesh bags I use for grains and hops it the kettle, I reuse all the time! Cheers 🍻

What does biscuity malt mean? A digestive dumped in the brew?
@G-townbrewer8 ай бұрын
Some malts are said to give a biscuity flavour, some others bready etc. I didn’t make the descriptions up. Maybe do some research on malt characteristics. Cheers!

Do you think the sharp price increase is down to the new grain costs? Good video matey 🍺
@G-townbrewer Жыл бұрын
Yeah I presume so. I was a bit shocked when I looked up the price to check.
