This song is unlike any other in the Rush discography, but it shows just how well Rush can create a " mood ".

I remember hearing an interview with Geddy many years ago,...and he was talking about the creation of the song. He said they had everything, but just needed the ending part. He said Alex just came up with that solo out of nowhere. Geddy said he was blown away first time he heard it!!

This song was written about the Twilight Zone which was a very popular TV series. Rod Serling who wrote and produced the show passed away in 1975 and they did this song to honour him. There is the odd shorter song by Rush.

To understand the lyrics, you would have to have watched the TV show. It’s a very astute song to my generation growing up with Rush and the Twilight Zone reruns.

This is very early studio Rush - short, sweet but not one of their best. Nonetheless entertaining.

Hey Josh.. love your reaction channel... But... I never saw the point of 'Rush'.. It's like some sort of parody of rock music Written for a TV series. Maybe it's just me.. Apologies.
