These movies will always have a place in the heart for me, just as the 60s Christmas specials, as well as the first Clash of the Titans...

It is amazing how Harryhausen was able to film these special effects and the imagination/fantasy turned into visual reality.

Im 66 now and I am sitting watching this in front of a Talos sculpture Im working on and have a Cyclops to add more to tonight!, to say Ray's movies had an influence on me is putting it mildly lol, His films STILL do it for me in a way the Jurrasic Park movies and many others today just cant do, there is something about the way his creatures move that makes them so special, that is his incredible skill, thanks for putting this together for us, I loved King Kong too and Mighty Joe Young that was the first film Ray worked on for a big Hollywood production. I ALMOST met him!, years ago in the 1970's , Ray Harryhausen came to Newcastle { In the UK} where I live and he brought some of his most famous creatures, I got there early but there was still a big que, we stood in line many people of all different ages with more and more joining us. The manager of the Tyneside Cinema that was holding the show came out and told us all there was a mistake in the newspaper and the showing was for invited gueasts only !!!, he was very brave, I have never been so dissapointed and went home as angry as a cyclops lol

Am I a fan? Look at my profile picture. I saw most of them first run in the theater, from 20 Million Miles on up. I'm 70 now, but I still record and watch any RH that comes on TV.

20,000 Miles to Earth to me was The Best Stop-Motion Animation movie that Ray Harryhausen ever did in his Career even If it was made in the late 50's BTW won't Change Stop-Motion Animation for CGI for nothing
