Thanks Phil for paying tribute to Wilko, a great guitarist and human being among my favourites of Kossoff, Page, etc. How about Tom Verlaine? His recent passing was also a great loss. Hope you can do a tribute to him and his group Television too.

Thank you Phil for another truly heartfelt tribute. Saw the Feelgoods back in 75. Truly amazing. They were the past, present and future of music all rolled into 3 minutes of brilliance. Let's not forget his songwriting and the other members of the band. As you said his later albums are great too. One of his heroes was Mick Green of the Pirates. Another incredible live band. Worth checking out.

Hi Phil, lovely tribute. Yes Wilco was truly unique. he really was a one off. Not just as an excellent guitarist but his stage presence. I saw him back in 2014, I think it was at the Railway Hotel in Bolton, with Norman Watt Roy of the Blockheads. There was probably no more than 100 to 120 people there, it was an amazing gig. Such sad news, and loss. I also saw Andy Fraser at the same venue with Chris Spedding, it was only a couple of years after that, when he passed. But Wilco so sad a great loss. R.l.P. Wilco.

Nice tribute, Phil. I worked on a few Feelgood gigs and remember them with fondness. Wilco was dynamic performer with a great guitar style. Feelgoods were a brilliant live band. I worked on a gig where Wilco's Solid Senders supported too. All very sad when we reach an age where our heroes are disappearing.. Life is short so we must make the most of it. Regards, Dale

Thank-you, Phil, for this. A perfect, heartfelt tribute. The Dr Feelgood albums are classics, it goes without saying, yet my "go to" Wilko Johnson album is 'Solid Senders' from 1978. It's the one I find myself returning to the most.

Never saw him with the Feelgoods but saw him whenever, which was often, he did the London pubs after leaving DF and got started with his new band Solid Senders. They were a great band and Wilco was, well, Wilco. In other words a brilliant performer and an incindiary stunning and truly unique guitarist. Such a performer and he is sorely, sorely missed. R.I.P. Check out Julian Temple's documentary Oil City Confidential. Thanks for the tribute, Phil.

Thanks Phil for this lovely tribute to Mr Wilko Johnson. His choppy guitaring technique inspired many in the pub and punk movements. His 1000 mile menacing stare predated John Lydon of the sex pistols. Even more amazing,he is left handed but could also play with his right hand. RIP WILKO JOHNSON 😭😭😭

Nik Turner and now Wilko. Too many years ago i attended a Dr. Feelgood gig at The Oyster Fleet ( i think) on Canvey Island. The stage was so small but it didn't stop the band performing high energy rock 'n' roll. RIP Wilco and thank you. BTW his autobiography is a very insightful and entertaining read. Lovely tribute Phil but becoming too regular unfortunately.
