@@jstone18crazy to find you in the comments here, so thanks for being so involved in the community. Im super torn between the alchemist and the antidote for freestyle focused rider. Theres an affordable 160 and Im 190 5’9 and have begun to start to snap boards (general public, capita neoslasher) as Ive progressed a lot in powerlifting-I digress. Ive nerded out a ton on your story on the alchemist, from the bombhole group chat #2 to the backcountry pod, and your method mag interview. I ride a K2 medium at skibowl and otherwise have rode my neoslasher (161) split in the resort, and want to have a 160 big board to soar on jumps and go fast, but also just front board the rail here and tube there. Given the multiple riders at K2 who are residing in Bend and rock the alchemist, I was really feeling that board and am frothing for powder days. Other contenders were stiffer boards in general that are camber and directional (or just memeing on a 161 gremlin, but my shop sales dude mentioned a few popped gremlins heh, trying to avoid snapping decks, thus the alchemist). Ive been so inspired by riders like Ulrik and Arthur Longo, and their boards namely the Funky Derby and the aeronaut dont seem too far off from the alchemist shape. Thanks for ending up at K2, what a wild story you have, and thanks for being part of the community. Also stoked to learn about Torsteins project board at Capita presently, seems something to keep an eye out for, as well as your new pow line. Cheers for reading

I've switched from Capita Mercury to Yes Stadard Uninc as my daily driver single board. I ride a lot in icy conditions at the Europe's most southern resort. And I like it much more than Mercury because of traditional camber and much better bite on ice and hard-packed snow. Also 153cm Yes Standard Uninc feels slightly softer than 157cm Mercury. Maybe it's due to size difference, however YES sizing charts recommend smaller boards fof the same weight than Capita Mercury. A big advantage of Capita Mercury is faster base. Mercury's base is structured and glides very well

List the boards that are in the video in the description, so it’s easy to see exactly what you’re talking about. Sometimes hard to see name on board and if you miss it when you first say it, it’s hard to know which board you were talking about and spend time rewinding to re hear. Bonus, it will help the algorithm and your search too, as google/youtube uses description copy in search algorithms.

I have a 21-21.5 inch width stance and my concern is that if I go with the 160 that I won't be able to use the inserts that are located towards the back of the board as the board has a 23" reference stance...I'm also concerned that the 157 is at the threshold of its weight range of 190lb that's listed on Capital's website. Hey guys, thanks so much for these reviews. Love your content, really informative. I have a question: I'm normally riding a Burton Deep Thinker as my daily on the slopes and in the park. I am looking for a second board which will serve as a "resort rider" on days when I wanna charge all throughout my resort or on days when there's fresh pow and have been looking at the Kazu (I have to admit Im a sucker for those graphics too). So would this board be suitable for me? Im an expert rider and teach youth/kids at my local. I've never really paid much attention to the gear I ride though, but as I can afford it for the first time in my life I'm considering getting two boards. Looking at the Capita site, I am having a hard time choosing what size to get and what the benefits/downsides in getting the wide version are? Is it only related to the size of my feet or are there other things to consider? I am 177 cm (5'10 I believe), weigh between 85-90 kg (187-198 lbs), my Mondo foot size is 26.7 and I ride Burton Ions in size 8.5.

Hi, Always love the energy and expertise you bring in your videos. Wish I could visit your shop but I'm in Europe. I currently own a Dancehaul 157 and Warca 153. My preferred terrain is off piste but inbounds (no backcountry yet) and ripping the groomers if needed). I weight about 180-185 lbs and have a size 12 boot. I'm looking to sell my Warca to get a bigger board size 160-163. The Dancehaul I feel is amazing for me except on a few points: - edge hold lacks a bit - a little too soft sometimes on cliff drops (I do 3m max so far) - chattery and gets bucked around What would you recommend for someone looking to chore up these weaknesses for an all mountain freeride 2 board quiver? I tried the Korua Tranny Finder 157 but that was a little too directional for me and definitely too stiff. Ideally, the board is just a tad stiffer in the tail than my Warca and the same-ish everywhere else. I was looking into the Banked Country, Lib Rig or Never Summer Nokhu (Idk about that triple camber) myself but maybe you have other suggestions. I'm really looking for a damp charger that's not overly demanding and destroys crud while also being wide enough to lay trenches. Thank you!

Thanks for the support! We always recommend the Banked Country but also with this info we feel the Jones Aviator might be a really good choice! avoid never summer , not great value!

@@tributeboardshop I actually tried an Aviator indoors 2 years ago and really liked how it turned. Thanks for reminding me!

At 5'8, 160 lbs and 8.5 boot size what size of the Mega Death should I be looking at? 156 or 159? Thank you!

Hi Guys. I picked up last years K2 Alchemist on a really good deal. Still interested in the Capita Kazu and the Yes PYL Uninc. I'm 5'10" and 180 lbs, with a size 9 boot. I think that's pretty similar to Fozz. Any recommendations between those 2? Definitely interested in the 160 W Kazu, as some of my favorite boards are a bit wider in the waist. The K2 looks really narrow without bindings on. :) Thanks!

Great video, very helpful! Looking at the Kazu, I'm a 5'9" 135lbs expert rider. I have a 9.5 boot and was riding a stiff 158 looking to downsize, would you recommend 154 or 155w? Thanks again!
