TRICHY India: Amazing Hindu Temples

We visited the largest functioning Hindu temple in the world, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, and another amazing temple the Jambukeswarer Temple where we got blessed by an elephant and got to go into the inner sanctum.

when i visited Tamil Nadu...the thing which surprised me the most is their Temple..What a magnificent structure, architecture and built those are...Most are built in BC era without any modern technology. It literally popped my eyes.as well as its very cooling temperature inside those temples even if outside is hot. Its a land of Engineering marvel

Nice tour. Amazing Temple! In some temples, they allow cameras but not in the inner sanctum, and in some, they don't allow cameras and in some, you can pay for the camera I think. There used to be a lot of elephants in the temples. Now not so much. They have been this way for more than 1000 years. There are many 1000-year-old active temples in the south. I believe this one is about 900 years or so and has been rebuilt again and again in some parts of the temples.

Desecration. You don't find any ancient temples in #Northern India (except only Khajuraho, which were saved by dense forests). Why?? #lsIamicInvasion, Barbarianism, Death & Destruction,, that's when these Only for Hindus rules formed. Many people in India still holds that destruction attitude about Hindus idoles & k@f!rs. Did you also notice in Sri Ranganathar Swamy Temple dediated to Lord Vishnu, the roof is so high from the ground compared to the Lord Shiva temple? It is also dark or the Vishnu temple has lesser light inside compared to this Shiva temple

I partly agree, but also partly disagree. Most westerners do come with genuine curiosity to our temples, and since or culture is so open towards others, I would assume it's alright for them to experience the main Garba Griha, even welcome. But then again, it is a place of worship and not of sight seeing or public comment, so I do understand when it is meant to be reserved to that purpose.

Thanjavur Big Temple, periya Koil, peruvudayar Temple, or Brihadeeswar Temple, despite requests from the priests, photos were taken by bhaktis from adjoining states. Not from Hindi-speaking states or foreigners.. who is to blame? Next, a group is claiming Thiruparamkundram Sri Skandagiri Hill as Sikandar Hill and wants to sacrifice animals there. Who is to blame here? Westerners or our homegrown idiots with scant respect for our culture. Of course, this message of mine will most likely be deleted. This is what they are. No regrets though.

I have seen you are asking priest about art made with rice fluor to feed insects...In every temple to feed animals, birds, insects the place is called "Bali peetam" it will be in 8 directions to feed birds, animals East, west, North, South, Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, southwest directions

🟨🟨🟨Sri Ranganatha Swamy kovil temple's carvings are also so intricate, which is dedicated to lord Vishnu, but it is so big and vast to examine each details there and exhausts one a lot due to its vast big structure, more open space, and very hot sunshine everywhere in that open space which boils people's feet to stand and examine a carving in the outerspace there patiently whereas every intricate carving here in this Shiva temple is inside the temple + the temple complex is small enough to grab the intricate details quickly and easily🟨🟨🟨

Srirangam is the biggest temple complex in India (not the world). The biggest Hindu temple complex in the world is Angkor Wat in Cambodia. GOes to show Hindus always existed everywhere without violence and created engineering marvels most of which was destoryed everywhere including India. US bombings in laos destroyed 90% Hindu temples

The designs made on floor is of rice flour so that birds and insects can feed on them. The golden colored pillar sort of thing is Jayasthambha erected just in front of the god's Idol. In Hinduism the God is invoked into the idol in the temple. The Jayasthambha is the golden colored pillar in front of the God's idol. It marks the positive energy flowing into the temple area.
