It's held up great so far. The trans isn't stock anymore. I rebuilt it with the prostreet elite kit from probuiltautomatics.com. The kit addresses most of the common 4l60 problems. Yes it's 4x4.

@@pimperado06 I’m not considering the 500hp kit, but I do have a built 4l60e that has addressed all the problems with it, and getting a 2500 stall converter, I’ll be pushing around 500hp with my build when it’s all said n done. What stall converter you got? And how does it feel with it being a 4x4 truck, does it still tow well.

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!

With the 383 rotating assembly, gearing, and stall converter, I don't really see a lack of power anywhere. I will say, the kit isn't really meant for low end torque, but if you're not towing with it it'll be fine.

It's the original 4l60e. It has the pro street elite kit from probuilt automatics, with a 3200 stall circle d converter. It also has the tci ez-tcu as well since I got rid of the trucks computer.

Honestly I've never driven it longer than 30 minutes or so. I don't daily this one, actually I only drive it maybe once or twice a month. There aren't any problems I'd anticipate other than shitty mpg's, but it sure is fun to drive.

@@pimperado06 With gas prices these days i'll be putting a 4l80 in my Sonoma, I would have to get a bank loan if I ran it around with a turbo 400. Your truck looks to be a lot of fun to drive.

@@pimperado06 I ran a 90 chevy short box 4x4 with a full roller 383 with Edelbrock multi port ProFlo fuel injection for 10 years, it had a 700r4 but I didn't like the gear spread so I changed to a turbo 350. My current ride is going to be my retirement toy, 94 Sonoma ext cab, 18* 399 stroker, 4l80e/3000w balloon plate, 9" w 3.55 . At 641 hp.@6400 on 89 octane (10.7 to 1) with a 950 cfm i'm sure gas milage will be a figment of my imagination. I'm quite sure it will have a Holly Sniper system on it soon.

Thanks man, I've actually calmed it down a little since this video. It used to be high flow cats and a dual in/dual out 10 series, all from flowmaster with 2.5" pipe. Now it has the flowmaster super 40. I couldn't stand the clappy sound it had at wide open throttle. It resonated pretty loud in the cab.
