Another trick for similar applications is to put a dob of some kinda grease like dc4 on the tip of your finger. Best for small, light hardware

Fr magnet on a stick is a life-saver. I have pieces of magnets specifically to stick them on the inside of side of sockets and wrenches. Why buy a whole magnetic wrech/socket set when you can just make all of your tools magnetic?
