Not SF3, but I've played a lot of DotA and (disgracefully) LoL in the past. I used to play solo middle, 1v1. Anyways, it got to a point where I'd ask a friend to do a countdown from 20, and I'd kill my opponent when he reached 0. I did it with mindgames. As soon as I had my special attack ready, I would play certain tricks that would make me look vulnerable, baiting the opponent into overconfidence and then killing them. It worked 9 out of 10 times. Mindgames are crucial.

Blue nocturne is actually a godlike special for big brain players who can condition and read the opponent. Not that hard if you just have enough experience.

As a casual 3s OE player who picks random select in characters and I choose the less popular SAs as SA2 Chun, SA1 Ken, SA1, SA3 Remy, etc every match I play I highly aprove this, is knowing when and how, because I don't parry more than twice, super rare low parry, no more than one air parry, I don't hit confirm or long combos or juggles but at my lvl I still connecting the simplests stuff like raw or empty jump supers and people gets mad sometimes. Other incomes with way better pro players that seems to read my mind lol Nice video from edition from the knowledge and wisdom you share about 3s and FGs in general. I don't play at FC2 much but you surely will beat me easily, I have watched you playing and I like your style, is so diferent than most that seema just like clons of each other on diff skill lvls with the "top tiers" sometimes I play with Fyto but he uses me just to practice as he is a sick Remy player as well 👌 Thanks for sharing 🥋👊🙏

@@Dagger_G Yeah and the few times I use SA3 Remy is so satisfying to connect it I even save those replays lol And same with other non popular SAs like SA3 Q, SA1 Oro, SA2 Ibuki, SA2 Twelve, etc. And yeah I just started to "see" but as I am a 43 years old fart and play drunk and stoned my reactions are getting even worse but I am grateful because even playing since SF1 30+ years ago I didn't consider any of this stuff before but never too late to learn, I don't like to train and I will still don't but something will I learn or pull that is new to me or hopefully to other players.

OK I love this video a lot, but ya know I swear I've heard the part where the "Confirmed Remy Detractor" saying Remy's SA3 is bad is familiar. Oh welp, hey I was right! It was... you know, that'll lose the whole point of lowering his voice sooooo I guess I just won't tell you who he is. Aside from that, this video goes deep on this SA, as well as mind games and reasons why people pick low tiers or "bad supers", which I always have a deep respect for.

In that situation, what would you have done to punish? He's already about to hit the boom recovery. Not to mention the fact that the overhead property means that Remy will have no down charge.

@@Dagger_G Genius SA3 trap though, cant say anything about that. My comment reffered to you saying "blue nocturne vacuum effect can hit the landing frames of certain locomotion specials..." If you are able to hit those landing frames while your opponent is in crouching state Blue Nocturne shouldnt be the go to option. Im not a Remy main so i cant say for certain what exclusive combo routes you get from hitting crouching opponents but s.mp c.mp xx is one option and im pretty sure you can also get c.mp c.mp xx in both cases it should be enough time to get a charge. If i remember it right mediums get a bonus +2 frames of hitstun on crouching opponents which should enable exclusive combo routes, you also get a damage boost on crouching opponents.

@@MrBroken030 Gotcha! st.mp, cr.mp is a combo yes but the startup and hitbox of the st.mp is a little wonky, and you have to have a slight partition for the down charge in order to hit it like that. That segment was in there mostly to debunk the assumption that you can't use it AT ALL against some of those moves. Even still, SA3 is the strongest attack that Remy has by far as it does even more damage than SA2, and the short bar means you want to be burning it as often as you have the opportunity.

I recently uploaded a SA1 Ryu Concepts and Ideas video on my channel, trying to promote the use of SA1 :D so i do see where this video is coming from. I just wanted to note the exclusive comboroutes you get from these kind of specials that leave the opponent in crouch state. Edit: Maybe you could do a video exploring the loops Remy gets on crouching opponents in the corner! :D those combos are too swaggy, utilizing multiple ex lovs!

I play Remy and even Gill in the Arcade version gets easily frustrated. Really. Chun-Li’s so frustrated that when I got Blue Nocturne, she had Kikou Shou. Really. When I played as Chun-Li, every character I played against, fell victim to my traps. Used Houyoku Sen against them. Only Gill killed me there. Remy’s Blue Nocturne actually turns Gill into rainbow watercolor, considering how trying to “resurrect” is pointless to Remy since he thinks he can “kill me easily”. Just saying; Remy can frustrate Gill even more.
