I had the same problem with my master cylinder on the dyna when I bought it. That 4 Gal fuel tank is still yours if you want it!

I literally finished up my dirtster Thursday night. It wouldn't run right either. I had to replace the carb intake boot but still wouldn't idle. I gave up and walked away only to get inspired in the middle of the night. Turns out mud duabers filled one exhaust pipe full of mud. Cleaned it out and it runs like a champ. BTW I'm currently in a motel in Lewisburg, PA getting ready for the last leg of the BDR tomorrow. There have been a few crashes and a couple injuries, one serious so it's definitely been an adventure. Don't worry everyone survived.

Does the tank need cleaning. clogged fuel lines, and bad gas line filter.If the tank was cleaned before new fuel line and fuel filter, Then they are probably okay as long as no fuel was put into the tank before is was cleaned. Otherwise sludge could hssave been pushed into the lines or filter from the tank. If the starter fluid was shot in thru the air intake line then the air system probably is okay.

Sounds like You need to increase the idol Most carb chokes aren't a true choke And enriches the fuel So the bike is Too lean to run Without a choke

Just needed to tune the damn carb! New exhaust gaskets might of thrown off what it was before 🤷🏽‍♀️

a sportster is pretty simple. your carb is dirty. sounds like the idle circuit is plugged

What was the cause of it not running. My guess is intake leak.
