Wonderful review, I’m glad you like it! Tricube Tactics is a bit more niche, aimed at those who want deeper combat and more advancement options (as you mentioned, the base system doesn’t have a lot of options for long-term campaigns)

Tricube Tales was the only game I could get my nephews to play and after running a bunch of sessions for them - I decided to try it with my adult RPG group and now it's just our weekly staple now. The fact that I can easily toss in any setting and lore with basically no real hacking involved made it ideal for my group because we like everything from traditional fantasy to sci-fi and cyberpunk. I've used it to run games for Steven Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, Avengers, Animal Crossing, ect.

Are you using it for longer campaigns, or just shorter? It's a fantastic game!

This is fascinating. Would you please consider playing through a scenario or through as a further intro and demo to gameplay ?

Great recommendation! Reminds me that I have this game in my To Be Played pile. :) I'm feeling inspired to put it on the table.

Amazing game. Flexible yet solid mechanics. Great production value, especially for the price.

There are even more micro-settings than these! However, they are PDF only, no POD option. I'm excited to check out Tricube tactics and get it all to the table!

_Tricube Tales_ is great, and the newest _Tricube Tactics_ is a great addition to it. The Solo Rules is a must-have. They can be applied very easily to any game.

I'm a big fan of Starfinder, but playing it alone is very heavy... it has so many options for the players and if you have to play the role of player and master, it just overwhelms you. I've been looking for a system agnostic way to play Starfinder lore for a long time. After your video, I bought the rulebook along with the solo supplement. My wallet thanks you XD It seemed to me that the solitaire supplement is very focused on low fantasy, isn't it? It will cost me a bit to translate the character skill system that Starfinder has to perks and quirks and all that... but it's worth it. Anyway, it has been a discovery for me that will certainly help me to bring my Starfinder material to the table more often. Thank you!

This is really cool thanks for the overview. My universal odds roll is 1d6: very likely 2+, likely 3+, 50/50 4+, unlikely 5+, very unlikely 6.
Reminds a bit of Loner (abother solo), but with a more "robust" base roll I still prefer Loner yes/no/and/but Oracle, tho Tks for the review, will look for this one

Where do I find The fantasy oracle table you showed at 2:54?

It's another product by Zadmar/Richard Woolcock called Fantasy Town Oracle (if you search that + Zadmar it should show up). I got it via Itch.

Dare I mention it but if you ask Chat GPT to run a game of this for you as a solo game and tell it to explain the rules as you go along you have a portable rpg. 😊

I have not, but that's mainly because I usually don't have access to a PC at my gaming table. I've heard it can be quite fun.

@@TheDungeonDiveI’ve been playing a game on the couch tonight on phone. Not as much fun as dice chucking and pen and paper of course but it served its purpose as a quick sci fi mission

Looks nice, never heard of it before, but seeing I have the newest version of Mythic do you still believe this could be a valid purchase?
@TheDungeonDive14 күн бұрын
It’s complete different from Mythic. Zero crossover.

It's kind of a shame the microsettings seem to waste half a page on each one to give you the basic rules of the game, they could put more setting specific content/special rules if they didn't.
@zadmarКүн бұрын
That's because they're designed to be self-contained one-page RPGs, each providing the reader with everything needed to run a game. This is also why they're printed on loose cards, rather than in a book.
@TheDungeonDiveКүн бұрын
There is some overlap, but for 50 cents it's hard to complain.
