I was big into Trident several years ago..just one of those bands you know is really good..but i got really obsessed with B-M and some other bands, until recently i was like ..TRIDENT!!! where were you??! loll...gotta see them live man..bucket list stuff 4 sure. I saw a two-man with Trident and Bray Me in Koshigaya in March a few days after the Band-Maid acoustic okyuji. Both bands killed it!

Figured you couldn't miss the quality - this band is totally overlooked though, it's criminal. I think it's because a lot of their music isn't super catchy, it's a bit more complex - much like Band-Maid. It amazes me they aren't equally popular.

The lead singer must have improved a lot as I personally thought that was the weak point of Girls Rock Band and when they got rid of Junna the first couple of tracks they released as Trident were synth heavy (not to my taste) so maybe they have gotten better.

She is still by far my least favourite part of their sound, also with how much production and doubling gets put on her voice on the studio versions which makes me think they agree (?). But I know a lot of people love her vocals and I have to say that it bothers me less with the live footage I have seen by them (their live DVD is as post-produced as Band-Maid's earlier DVD/Blu-ray releases but still). And yes, they have become very synth heavy in some songs, some of them I enjoy, others not so much even though I love Spoopy which is very synthheavy as well. They are a weird band for me, as they are very hit-or-miss, but I still keep getting their releases for some reason. I have heard they are really enjoyable live though from people that have seen them including Ryan now, so I can only assume that's indeed the case.

@@MaartenT thanxs for the feedback really appreciate the comment as I have no wish to be a naysayer about any Japanese band that is clearly doing well so it is good to see I am not alone in my thoughts.
